Re: The Formula One Thread

wink

Nothing ever changes

Pirelli do need to improve the tyres

We need refuelling back. As many Engines and Gear boxes as required without penalty. In season testing. Single qualifying session. No DRS. Start on the best tyres for the job. Enough tyres for brand new ones at every change. No comms to driver except for the Pit Board. No direct control from the pit of the car. The end of inane rules that mean when Alonso is forced to take avoiding action over a chicane he doesn't have to give the place he had to the nutter who tried to take him off (Who later took off Kimi) Penalties should be seen to be just.

It's called Formula 1 and they race for the Grand Prix. It should be a sprint in the ultimate car not a marathon agonisingly run in plimsolls

Re: The Formula One Thread

Wow I just found this F1 thread nice!

I'm looking forward to this weekend's Montreal Grand Prix and for further details on what they decide "to do" with Mercedes and their in season testing.

I thought this season would be boring with everyone behind the scenes concentrating on next year's rule changes but it has been pretty interesting so far. McLaren's lack of pace is the biggest surprise to me!

Welcome to our thread Jupiter8. Most of the major constructors have fans here and we all complain about rule changes. biggrin
@Dave: I could not agree more. Let them race. As motorsport fans all we really want to see is a good driver in a good car on a well prepared track.
Off to Canada.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Vettel again take advantage of Q3 to win the pole!
Majo Alonso is too far behind to be dangerous in the beginning.
Beware of Kimi and Rosberg !
Can Pirelli test really new tyres for the next grand-prix in England ?
I hope next year they break that rule and let more than one manufacturers in the race.Let drivers show their talents whatever the equipment!
Let all to enjoy this sunday race in Montreal ! smile

Re: The Formula One Thread

One more for Vettel ! Great Champion !
Great RENAULT engines!
Majo Alonso allied experience and pugnacity to get that second place when we consider his position at start.
Much respect for Vergnes ; french satisfaction

Re: The Formula One Thread

Vettel owned the track. With a 2 second lead after the first lap, he never looked back. Most of the action happened near the end between Alonso and Hamilton. I was surprised how well the soft red tires (tyres) held up on that track. Off to Silverstone in the UK.
