BladeD,
Désolé, mais entre la difficulté technique, et le manque de temps en ce moment, l'automatisation ce n'est pas pour tout de suite. Mais j'avais prévenu, que rien n'était promis. En attendant, je t'ai fait cette capture : ![]() Sorry, but between technical difficulty, and lack of time right now, automation is not for now. But I had warned that nothing was promised. -------- We will not do politics here (on FB if you want), but I have the impression that the media focus on violence, to forget the underlying problems. That the carbon tax is really not the problem anymore. |

We have around 1300 active members if BoincStats is not wrong, we have been decaying over the years... (I remember a time we used to be above 3000 active crunchers). Which is not that bad anyway :)
----------------------------------------I used to take RER many years but now I'm using a bus that goes on the highway (seated only) + car to get to the bus. |

Of course, we shall not do politics here, stefada; we'll leave that to the politicians
![]() [AF>Le_Pommier] Jerome_C2005, too bad that your members stop being active. If you came as a tourist to Paris with such a transportation card in your pocket that gives you free transport with any public service, what would you choose for speed, comfort and views? Do you get to see anything from a bus? Does a bus get stuck in the traffic? ![]() Good Afternoon Base Campers! Business Well, still whiling away ![]() Chit-chat Today I consulted my very competent heart nurse for the last time. Almost one year has passed since the blood clot in my heart happened. I feel grateful and lucky that the health personel has helped me to regain my life some 97%, so much that I felt confident buying my Norwegian ticket for Paris today ![]() |

Yeah of course in the bus you see things and you have many lines. They are supposed to have reserved traffic lanes, but if traffic is too heavy they'll get stuck also... but if you are a tourist, you have time !
----------------------------------------There are non public double-decker buses (like that one , there are others) with one day ticket hop-on / hop-off tours that are obviously focusing on best touristic places (they have several routes). With public lines you can probably see the same things, you have also one day / several days touristic tickets (cheaper) to use them the same way, but you'll have to chose carefully which buses to use, and change various times (there won't be the equivalent of these touristic routes). But nowadays with apps like Citymapper and others it's not a complicated thing to do. Happy to read that you heart now collaborates to your touristic plans :) |

Of course, we shall not do politics here, stefada; we'll leave that to the politicians Don't worry, that's always interesting to exchange point of views, especially from different countries. If you came as a tourist to Paris with such a transportation card in your pocket that gives you free transport with any public service, what would you choose for speed, comfort and views? Do you get to see anything from a bus? Does a bus get stuck in the traffic? It depends. The bus Jerôme is talking about may use a specific lane, thus avoiding traffic jam. While many bus inside Paris have a reserved lane, that is shared with taxis and bikes, some others don't have and are subject to wait some long minutes. I will suggest you to start with https://booking.parisinfo.com/il4-offer_i147-paris-passlib-paris-pass.aspx . Boat cruise or sightseeing bus tour or walking are the best way to visit Paris. You can also take a Velib bike. From my point of view, that's the fastest way to go from one point to another one inside Paris. But I like biking. I you need to take RER or underground, you should avoid rush hour (7-9 am, 5-7 pm). Today I consulted my very competent heart nurse for the last time. Almost one year has passed since the blood clot in my heart happened. I feel grateful and lucky that the health personel has helped me to regain my life some 97%, so much that I felt confident buying my Norwegian ticket for Paris today. Good to read you are doing well. I wish you to live many peaceful years. |

I just landed Escher-1 at L'Alliance Francophone HQ. Thanks to whomever switched on the airfield lights. They come on automatically when they hear the buzz of an Escher-1, NixChix.Welcome to Francophonia ![]() - it feels good to have company I have to hit the books for some heavy studying right now, so no more posts tonight. Please let us know what you study so hard when you have the time. And how is your son's healing coming along? Good Morning Base Campers! Business Before long our trek to L'Alliance Francophone will begin in earnest. To me it will be interesting to see if we can make an imprint. As I see it, you have an awful lot of members - but what counts is active members. Do you have any contact with the captain of the team? Or he with you? I know Sapphir12 became a new capitaine of team Kraland - at that time a big, but somewhat dormant team and she did - and does - a great work activating the members. Chit-chat The hop-on-hop-off buses are OK. Apart from the narrative, I suppose you can create your own using public buses and less expensive, too. I read an article in a Danish newspaper called 'In the footprints of art', and following that route seems to take me past Louis Vuitton Foundation past Grand Palais, Musée Jacquemart-André, Jeu de Paume, Jardin des Tuileries, and the courtyard at Louvre ending at Centre Georges Pompidou. I shall see L'Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysée and Place de la Concorde and the Seine, too, on that walk of 10½ km (7 miles). And I could take time out to visit one or two of the museums. To me it looks like a good start. Which kind of work do you do in Paris? Denmark has always been famous for high taxation. I just read that France passed us! And that was even before M Macron promised billions to the less fortunate .... ![]() ![]() |
