Actually, I don't know what yours look like.
So I looked it up - a handsome navy color as were the British as I recall it My first Danish one was as if made of burlap. Very nice coming to think of it. Do you mean confused literally? - or not wanting to be taken for a US citizen (you know I tried more or less ...)? |

Good Morning Base Campers
The same "baker's dozen" are steadily crunching along. Love it. ![]() One more of our town gardeners creations: ![]() Usually, people complain about unnecessary and extravagant expenses leading to high taxes, but I never heard people wanting to go without this beautification of the city. The playlist Base Camp 1 has been updated. "Speedy Gonzales" had been deleted, so I put in a new version. The link if you're interested: Base Camp 1 From being systematic, we'll do ecclectic music today - Small Faces - an off Beatles band: Lazy Sunday Sarah Vaughan - hopefully American - exceptional jazz singer: The Man I Love Did you forget? Here it is with Paul Sheesley: Rhode Island Is Famous for You We need the 14th cruncher to help out right now wouldn't you, please, sign up as our Newest Camper and join Trek #28 - Texas - right away - we'll leave the light on for you - and we have a Texan BBQ sizzling and drinks of your choice in the refrigerator .... |

We haven't had rain in so long that they'd have to install sprinklers. Then the weeds would take it over and someone would drive an industrial mower over it and flatten everything.

We need rain too. Lots of fires in the west. The biggest one is in Arizona where the smoke blanketed the area where I live in Colorado and stretched all the way to Iowa. There's also a fire on nearby Fort Carson and other areas in Colorado.

Too bad USAFA 82.
I dance Crow and I dance Lakota and nothing helps - neither in Florida, nor in Colorado this time ![]() I read about the Wallow fire i AZ - not too far from Dan Holtz, and as far as I know he is sort of a fireman |

Good Morning Base Campers
It seems as if we have a hard time getting a few more Base Campers to join our Trek #28 - Texas - not to mention attracting New Campers. But then again, our Group of 13 do pretty well. Exclusive of the team owner it has come to 1,359,995 points, and when we started deltavee had accumulated 6,336,017 points all by himself which put Episcopalians at #2,571 WCG-wide. The team is now #2,197. It seems as if the perennial race between PecosRiverM and USAFA 82 has been carried over from their common home team - Christians Against Cancer - to this Texas Trek, and Texas bit his teeth firmly together and runs a concentrated race - and is ahead of Colorado by some 38,000 points as I write. I searched and I searched in our Base Camp Forum for a thread where we drifted off topic and among other things posted pictures of muscle cars. I would have posted a picture of the one I'm taking delivery of by July 5th there - everything but a muscle car (unfortunately) - but here it is: ![]() - a Suzuki Alto, and yes, it's red Do you miss the "Blues Brothers"? Yeah? I do too: Soul Man Peter & Gordon (off Beatles) have put my motto into music: I Don't Care What They Say, I Won't Stay in a World Without Love Nothing beats Liza Minelli in "New York, New York", but this one ain't bad either: Life Is a Cabaret We'll do many things to coax you to join, but garters and black stockings are not among them - the guys squarely refused when I asked them ... so without further ado we invite you to join Base Camp ![]() |
