Good Morning Base Campers Repeat: Quiet days around - a little too quiet ... Repeat: So, Ghost Plane: Waiting for pictures of your garden ....  Was new, now repeat: We soon need something to happen. Don't anybody feel like trekking? Repeat: Nothing to add but a little music: New: The music is new - kind of ... We all know The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, but at the time England flourished with groups that didn't quite reach the stars, but were stars in their own right. Let's listen to a few songs - first Herman's Hermits: Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter Then there you had The Seekers: I'll Never Find Another You More to come tomorrow, but now to something quite different: Led Zeppelin - brace your ears! Immigrant Song Well, all that music is well and good ... weather is good ... food is good ... Gin & Tonic is good ... but something is amiss - could it be Trekking?  How about immigrating? We have a well developed program to receive emigrants and are ready to welcome You as a New Camper in Base Camp |

BaseCamp is a Temporary Diversion...Personally; after hitting it hard for so long, I'm burned out for a few more months, but if anyone wants to initiate a "Trek" so be it; I may find a way to submit at least a few results, but I'm concentrating on priorities ...and due to the summer heat machines are being shut down!

I'm running into heat issues myself. 90F at 10AM this morning and the A/C is running flat out at nearly 5PM.
Persian One stopped black screens of death with the ceiling fan running flat out, but the electric bill may cause the human equivalent, so my stats are going to suffer instead. |

Good Morning Base Campers
TLD used his mass mailing facility for alerting us to a thread where we can submit suggestions for Base Camp's Summer Trek 2011 - Trek #28. Many of you have issues with the temperature, and some of you suffer from Trekking Fatigue. Remember: Participating is voluntary. Whether you choose to refrain because of electricity bills, dietary issues, antimilitaristic views, religious commandments, or whatever is well taken. If you stay away, because you suffer from Trekking Fatigue or just plain don't feel like it, is OK too. When we decide what we want to do, we'll simply form a team of those Base Campers who are up to Trekking that day. Repeat: Ghost Plane we would really like to see pictures of your garden .... I promised you some more off-Beatles music. Herman's Hermits made two earhangers: No Milk Today There's a Kind of Hush all over the World - and you - young or old - probably heard the Seekers' Georgy Girl Georgy Girl kept herself under a lid - don't you do that - allow yourself to unfold as a New Camper in Base Camp |

Did those Merlins pass over your place, densnaps.
----------------------------------------Are they from a museum? A couple of years ago my ex and I visited the RAF Museum in Cosford near Birmingham. Good Morning Base Campers
Trek #28 is planned. Consequently our Summer Trek has been renamed into Trek #29 which you may note in our Base Camp Forum.  Trek #28 is a Sneaky Pete, so the details will not be available in advance, neither here nor in The Igloo. The official start date is Sunday June 5th. The Base Campers who would like to give it a try are kindly requested to PM little mermaid for details from our Base Camp Forum. Look forward to hearing from at least one of you Music?
