Well, today is Saturday and it shows. wink

We are at 46,398,536 points for the year and need 3,601,464 more points. So we now need to average 156,585 points a day for the rest of the year to reach our goal.
Trendwise, what we need to average each day is looking like this:

12/03 - 155,427
12/04 - 155,684
12/05 - 155,728
12/06 - 155,348
12/07 - 155,480
12/08 - 156,585

No need to panic yet by any means. I think we can do okay as long as we keep the average needed below 160K or so. Plus we have a number of folks that have made it known that they'll be there if we need any last minute help. Myself, I'd like to see us hit our goal closer to Christmas. biggrin

Now that would be a nice present for the team!!

Nice double milestones by sulcata today too! They'll be hitting that half million mark soon enough! applause

Oh ye of little faith..... laughing

I have to admit I won't be able to get comfortable and relax until we have our goal met and behind us....and yet I know it will come somehow someway no matter what. It's not just this team, it's the whole community. I'm not sure specifically when I first brought up 50 million as a goal for the year but I'm sure I was rather skeptical back then. I recall the days when we as a team were coming in far enough under 100,000 a day that I found myself wondering at the possibility that, given the trends of those days, I would be the captain who would see the end of it. Instead, I have been amazed and heartened at what has transpired since then. Just the possibilty that we could actually meet such a goal is so satisfying in itself. That we will in fact reach and, to some small degree, exceed that goal is most humbling. To each of you, I salute you and thank you.

Now let's take care of that one last niggling bureaucratic detail and put those last 3,601,464 points behind us!

I've been watching here for a while now.

Might be interested in joining the team just to have a better sense in connecting with the community. So far I've been crunching teamless on my own; crunching for the better good of the community. My stats aren't the best, average of 13k points a day, but the accomplishment comes from making a difference.

Maybe my cores will give you a boost towards your goal. wink
