Today was a quiet end to the work week. Good luck Dataman on your visit. See you soon. We now have 3,731,527 points to go to reach our goal. That's an average of 155,480 points per day. FYI, here's the trend on our needed daily average:
----------------------------------------12/03 - 155,427 12/04 - 155,684 12/05 - 155,728 12/06 - 155,348 12/07 - 155,480 We obviously want to come in above this each day as that will lower what we need each day to make our goal. We're pretty close to these numbers so that tends to bode well but doesn't leave us much in the way of a cushion. This average will have us reaching our goal on 12/31 so a downturn in points puts that at risk. It's down to the wire and may well be a "photo finish".  |

Good luck Dataman. I was being tempted by the thought of occasional treks myself but then I became the captain and that makes this sort of thing a bit more difficult logistically.

Hey Keith, any news on the website? Give me a shout if you want a hand. Jonathan, the early stages are always the slowest since you have to but a lot of the foundation. I am settling in with my copy of CorelDraw too and need to get up to speed on it. I want to provide equal recognition of runtime and results along with points so we need to add to our graphics collection. I'm working on some reorganizing of what we were able to save and then will get that loaded on the website. Some sort of temporary "quick and dirty" page would let folks work with them again in their posts and that will be a good step forward. I clearly have a lot to learn as I'm needing to set up the CSS we'll be using on the website. I'll also need to design the database(s) we'll be using to store all the statistical info we'll have to screen scrape (and not just for WCG either). All the pages for viewing the stats will be PHP based but we'll end up with a lot more info for everyone. We'll have to set up registration for the site as well. We may also get back to having a few forums of our own on the site too. Something new will be having the site email members with individual recognition of various accomplishments. Also, we'll hoping be able to leverage the site for recruiting as well. It's all a lot of work that is going to be an ongoing task for quite a while. Makes sense to do it up right after all, especially since we're set for the next ten years. |

Wow, I'm worried we're not going to make our goal with Dataman off crunching for another team. Do you think we can get some base campers to help push us over the top?

LOL! I have faith in the few things that deserve it.
1. German engineering (except for vacuum hoses) 2. French cowardice 3. Harvard grads (they might be pretentious little $hit$, but they're generally pretty bright) 4. Brembo brakes (I trust nothing else with my ride) 5. Evolution 6. Devolution |
