Congratulations to Dataman on becoming the newest MOT Millionaire!!! About three weeks ahead of the original projections too! He's also not far from joining out Top Ten for 2007 as well! We are 4,203,475 points away from our goal - that's an average of 155,684 point per day for the rest of the year. We also lost Silbo from our active crunching ranks today.

Hello team mates.
I see the team has been chrunching right along. Some outstanding milestones by many. OUTSTANDING JOB!!! Happy belated birthday Dave and Dataman. Just don't burn the place down with all those candles. lol Looks like our 50,000,000 is in the bag for the year if all goes well. Thanks to our base jumpers giving us that little push to the finish line. Sorry I don't post to much, but I do keep up with whats going on or at least try to anyways. Nice to see some of our inactive crunchers back crunching with us. Like Dave the snow is here to stay. By tomorrow were looking at another 6 inches on top of the 5 inches of snow and 1 inch of ice we already got. Gonna make the Christmas lights stand out a lot nicer this year though. Our rotary lights here in town got to be loving it to since they spent all that time putting up over a million lights this year. Once I get some pictures I'll post a couple here for all to see just how beautiful the lights look downtown. In the meantime take care and keep on crunching. Hope to post soon. |

Big weather here in the Chicago area. It snowed all night and we have had it off and on through the day as well. So far, it looks like about 4 inches. The snows that we are seeing now are what we call lake effect snow which can be ome serious accumulation. Tonight, the bottom will drop out of the thermometer. It is supposed to get down ta about 14° F (-10° C). I wonder if I will finally have to turn on the heat in my apartment. I haven't had to yet! The building I live in is a seniors only apartment building (55 and older). Since well over half of the residents are little old ladies who keep their places at 80° or more and since I live on the top floor, I get the heat from the rest of the building. On top of that, two PC's running at 100% are nice little space heaters as well (thanks, WCG
---------------------------------------- ). Most often, I have to leave a window open to make it habitable. Hopefully, I will not need to turn it on. If I do, I will have to move furniture and reach down near the floor to turn the knob on for the steam heat -- not an easy task from a wheelchair. Might just grab another blanket instead.Not real sure why my points were so low yesterday. Probably a combination of pending validation as well as the graphics load of my new HDTV reciever I suspect. Today looks better. Already have about doubled yesterday's contribution. Did some arithmetic, and it looks like I will have to wait until the new year for my 2 million point mark . I was hoping to celebrate that with our 50 million team mark this year. There is still a slight chance as it looks like right after the new year for my milestone. Big Congrats on reaching 1 Million MOT points Dataman - fantastic crunching!!
Ady -- like I said, the pic doesn't even come close to what I really see on my monitor. I can't believe I now have HDTV and it only cost $70 (There was a $20 rebate on it until the end of November). It really would be a nice Christmas present to yourself! I used the DVR last night and a 1 hour HDTV show took up 3.6 GB on my hard drive! Dave - I think the picture was very good despite it being an uploaded image - and the new one above about Yellowstone Park is really excellent. I will definately be treating myself this Christmas  |
