Re: Weekend half over!

Morning everyone

+++++++++++
The Cannon G9 is an Excellent choice
I have a grandfather of it the G2 chosen because I couldn't deal with the fiddly micro models that were smaller than a match box controls that were too Micky mouse.
After years with Pentax 35mm film cameras a bag full of heavy tubes taking you nearer or further away A wonderful fish eye ( just an expensive gimmick ) and a telescopic attachment that I could fill the frame with 1/4 of moon and see craters.
I opted for the cannon as it did give some user control, hot shoe, aperture control and so on .
My only gripe was poor viewing of screen in sun light I did get a sort of bellows hood to improve viewing but found it prevented closing of screen so stopped using it. Prob 2 was lag when switching on it went into sleep mode if left on and if "Snapshots" required the moment had often passed before it woke up .
It doesn't live in a case it has a strap hangs on shoulder and in pocket is well used and looks it but still functions perfectly
It is Silver tho not the "Pro Black finish"Your choice seems spot on to me biggrin
PS Dont worry about the lack of wide angle Use the "Photostich" after a little practice it works well

Evening all

They promised a sunny day but what we got was cool weather with showers so, once again, I didn't get done the gardening I should have.

Re: Weekend half over!

Morning smile Rain forecast for today - as long as it is not the hailstones we had yesterday! They were the size of golfballs - thought they were going to smash my conservatory roof crying

Re: Weekend half over!

Hmmm, the last time I was in Southampton was in the early 60's. Think I'd recognize it now?
My last time was about 1980. Just about recognised Bugle Street. Remembered marching along it in June 1944, throwing away British currency.
