Evening all
I know that there are times when it isn't easy to post on the forum but that matters little when you are doing the main thing and the sole purpose of the site, crunching whenever you reasonably can. There will be times when for various reasons that's not possible and one should feel the comfort of the team around you. And it is a great team, spread around the world. I am always a tad coloured by my Grid experience where the team grew to just over a hundred members in the first six months and, when we were finally booted out, just seven of us were still crunching. A few actually said goodbye but mostly they just disappeared. The need to beat cancer didn't disappear though. There, I've got it off my chest and now I'll belt up. It's lovely to be here and I was reminded of the importance the other day when I opened the Obituary page in the Guardian and it covered three excellent people who had added much to society and who had all died of cancer before they were 50. Hope you've been snowboarding Ted! |

No-one warned me that when you have knee replacements, you get 'sleepy sickness' as well!

Evening all
Don't think it's got anything to do with knees, old or replacement. I only have to sit down for a short time after lunch in this kind of weather and the central heating on and the book or paper I'm reading falls to the coffee table and I'm away. Perhaps the warmth makes the body think it's siesta time. I don't mind that much but it does also seem to mean that I wake up around five. Not that I get up and I can look at it as a chance to have a lie in. |

I take it you mean 5 p.m. - I used to wake up within a few minutes of 3 a.m.
There was a reason for that, but the reason was bypassed, and now I wake within a few hours of 3 a.m. - force of habit, I guess! |

Evening all. Had login trouble as well.
Catched one of those energy wu's. Seems like long one's, around three times a hcc-wu estimated. ![]() |
