Cold here too but dry at least. At the weekend we're promised cold and wet. I know what I prefer.

Hopefully thats and end to it for a few years! Although with Digital coming in in a few years time, guess I will have to replace the old TV set soon, pity I cant replace the old Ted with a younger model too, now that would be worth spending on!

Morning to everyone, a tad cold again, and rain is forcaste. I have to go out later for a dental appointment, to make sure the old gnashers are in good nick for the mince pies etc!

T'was cold this morning but the weekend rain has already started here.

Did the weekly shop this morning and can see it's getting near the festive season. Despite any downturn there were longer queues at the checkouts with trolleys piled high.
Apart from a packet of crisps to put in the larder, my load was as normal. AND that's bad enough on the old wallet.

Still it's good to get to the age when no-one knows what to get you so we've had two 'hampers' so far one {from very posh friends) a case of six bottles of good wine from Fortnum and Mason's and the other a few edibles from M&S.

This, plus my Sainsbury's points to use up next week and it shouldn't be too painful.

I use the points just as I remember my parents budgeting. Dad with the Slate Club and Mum subscribing weekly to the local grocer for the Christmas spend.

A bit chilly here but not too bad and thankful it's not raining. Got to dig out my sons Harley for the toy run today. It's his first bike so he's real excited about the ride. The local Harley shop does this run every year to raise money and gifts for needy kids.\I'd given up riding till he got this Hog, now I wish I had one.

Look at the time!! And I was on my way to bed when I decided to look at a disc of photos my brother-in-law gave me today. Well one thing lead to another and I ended up looking at other discs including "Bournemouth, Corfe Castle, Hengisbury Head", etc. etc. in 2004!! Well some of us looked a darn site younger then, including one who shall be nameless but could obviously have had nothing wrong with her knees then! There was not one of a particular cafe selling cream teas Ted, in case you ask! But it did bring back some great memories and the amount of laughing that went on, particularly in car parks!! We have got to do it again, before it is too late!!
