Evening all Don't think it's got anything to do with knees, old or replacement. I only have to sit down for a short time after lunch in this kind of weather and the central heating on and the book or paper I'm reading falls to the coffee table and I'm away. Perhaps the warmth makes the body think it's siesta time. I don't mind that much but it does also seem to mean that I wake up around five. Not that I get up and I can look at it as a chance to have a lie in. I could sleep for England too! Especially when I have got in from work and have eaten it's a sure bet I nod off in front of the TV.   I don't get up any earlier in the morning though  |

----------------------------------------I did play football in the snow today.   The things some youngsters do!!!! Reminds me of a time long gone by, when both I and the world were young. I was sent to Norway to learn to ski... We spent much of our time playing football against a local team...managed to get some diving in in Hardanger Fjord too, now that was cold! But now in my dotage I watch others, usually on the TV whilst wrapped up well in my winter woolies, with a strong cup of cocoa and a box of biscuits! Good morning world aint life grand? I did play football in the snow today. The things some youngsters do!!!! Reminds me of a time long gone by, when both I and the world were young. I was sent to Norway to learn to ski... We spent much of our time playing football against a local team...managed to get some diving in in Hardanger Fjord too, now that was cold! Respect!  Actually we're playing twice a week during lunchhour regardless the weather on a field in the business park where I work. And believe it or not, two pensioners are still coming just to play. Yes - it is cold - glad I'm not a brass monkey.
Incidentally, brass monkeys were small trolleys, small enough to carry cannon balls between decks which were too shallow for powder monkeys. |
