Evening all
Another chilly day but at least the rain finally stopped. Finally got round to Christmas cards and wondered why do I always fail to put one or two up-to-date addresses in the book and have to spend hours finding the bits of paper in my desk. |

Welcome back skipper, I hope the heating was left on for you. Bracing myself for the queue at the post office tomorrow morning as I try to dispatch all the parcels and overseas cards. It used to be easy until they closed our local one earlier this year. |

Ivan you are lucky! I heard today on the news programme that the GPO will be sold off in part to foreign companies! Aint much of Brtain left belonging to us is there, apart from the National Debt that is! |

Evening all
Bit quiet in here innit. Post Office trip wasn't too bad; a longish queue but everyone was in good spirits and so I reached one of the counters after a quarter of an hour. I also read the article about the partial privatisation Ted but I can understand the problem. The only post I get is charity requests, sales flyers and certain club packets. Pretty well everything else comes to this beast in front of me. Plus, the post now arrives sometime in the afternoon instead of around breakfast. Off round the corner soon. The 'Village' has it's mince pie, gluehwein and carol evening around the Christmas tree in the Village Garden. I'm no good at the singing these days even though I was thought to be a pretty good choirboy until my voice broke. However, I'll enjoy the company and croak my way through. |
