We had a very brief update that I think I can pass on to you.
IBM Brazil are currently helping Fiocruz to prepare the public results database. There is no ETA yet. |

Any chance of having the first post in this thread ammended, The link has no spaces and pushes the "Recent Post" display over to the right and hides the "Go to Last Page button....

Just checked and found that they are still sorting the amino-acid alphabet. The Ying/Yang piece is not working ;D
----------------------------------------Fiocruz (Brazil): Genome Comparison: They are working on creating a database to make the results public. IBM Brazil is helping them with database expertise and hardware. They should have the database ready before the end of the year. They are also writing two papers. Hopefully those will be ready soon.

Hello robertmiles,
Is this relevant to the Genome Comparison project? My personal opinion is that it is almost completely irrelevant. Genome Comparison is only a small part of a larger research program at Fiocruz. My understanding is that the database created is computationally-intensive, but it is just a tool to be used in the research program. Lawrence |
