Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 29 smilesmile

Hey guys, good news. I'm scheduled to preach on Wednesday at the first noon service of the year. I'm going to talk about Humanism and our commitment to alleviating pain and suffering and briefly draw their attention to WCG. Also, I'll be sending an email out to our 450 person email list with sign up info for World Community Grid. I'm thinking about having them all join this team, provided we can get stats once a year for the Harvard Humanist folks exclusively. Let me know Keith.

As for CPDN, the almost 16K credits is only for about a half dozen WUs, three of which are still in process. 300 hours seems to be the typical projected time on a 2.2GHz CPU

I have 1624 hours left on mine on a Q6600 (2.40 GHz). laughing biggrin

It won't take anywhere near that. You just don't have enough history for BOINC to give decent estimates. Extrapolate from time and percent complete so far.

Not sure ... it's 1.825% complete @ 108 hours. It's one of these:

Application UK Met Office: HADCM3
Prefer this type of model: Selected
Duration: 80 model years (Variable up to 160 model years)
Estimated WU Completion Time: 60 days
Supported Platforms Windows, Intel Mac & Linux

60 days is 1440 hours on the left coast smile but then we're laid back ... things move at a faster pace on the right coast. laughing biggrin laughing

It will be interesting to see how it settles out.

Good morning MOT!!! Cooler today ... a mere 97F. wink

coffee

Brrr -- wish I could send some of this weather to those of you with problems running your crunch farms because of heat! It is 56.5 degrees here this morning with still a couple of hours of darkness yet! Cold enough that I'm gonna climb back in bed and hibernate a bit longer.

I wish I had your cool and Gerald's wet. It didn't cool off as much last night ... to be 103F today. It just goes on and on.

coffee

that doesn't sound quite right.

Thats because you read it wrong laughing

biggrin laughing biggrin laughing biggrin laughing
I'm getting old. laughing laughing

^ Wow that scares me. tongue

You???? Old!!! You're just street legal now.

Old is having to keep track of you meds and it's a challenge.
Old is getting on your hands and knees with the rear in the air and it ain't for the missus.
Old is seeing the racy pix of the latest starlet and yawning.
Old is losing the hair war to gravity.
Old is forgetting that you're old - and paying for it.
Old is remembering stuff they teach in history class - because you lived thru it.

Keith -- you forgot:

First you forget names, then you forget faces. Then you forget to pull up your zipper. It's worse when you forget to pull it down.

You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.

You are BAD--lol

I'll post my remarks here and try to scan the order of worship so you can see how pretentious we really are.

Hey all, I'm thinking about moving my laptop over to QMC just to try out another project. The quad stays with WCG as do my roommates' computers. And after all, our BOINC stats need some boosting!
