Hey Dataman, how many graphics cards do you have crunching? You account for 10k results per day and I only pull down 3k on average.

Just two; one 8800GT and one 9800GTX.

@Keith: I opted out of Cosmology this morning. (Too many errors ... if they want to find "dark matter", they need only to look between their own ears. laughing biggrin laughing )

Okay, I've not had problems running their WU's and getting credit. I do note that the WUs I've been crunching for them are from the 15th. They apparently did have a problem with the WU generator that the fixed on the 18th. Not sure when that problem started. It seems that with many of these academia-based projects, the project is only as good as the admins - admins who seem to usually be grad students with priorities beyond the project.

You've been running both cards for at least a few weeks, right? I'm wondering what each of your cards averages.

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 30 smilesmile

@Keith: Their servers have been up and down and then when the get everything running, they run out of work. biggrin My problem has been that they are getting stuck on down load and I can't restart them. While they are in transfer status, BOINC will not get any new wu's for any project on the machine. I had two machines out of work this morning because Cosmology wu's failed. The bright side is they have "hired" a new project administrator who is trying to get things fixed. There is a lot of grumbling on their board. I'll see what happens over the next few weeks before I try anymore wu's..

@Jonathan: I really can't tell much between the two cards. As you know they all get the same credit regardless of run time. Another problem is the very sporadic reporting from PS3Grid to BOINCStats. My RAC there has not had time to average out. About all I can tell is the 8800 runs about 1 to 1 1/2 wu's per day and 9800 runs about 2 wu's per day.

PS: Congrat's Jonathan for getting into the 99th percentile at BOINC. applause applause applause

Yea, was reading about the hung downloads on their boards along with the abort download/reset project workaround. Seems to come and go lately.

Great News from Lattice:

"The next batch does not depend on the current work in the system. Yes, sorry about the dry spell. I've got some work due to come into the pool today. By the way, our lab was awarded a 3 year grant, and out of that will be a lot more work for BOINC. We will also likely be among the first projects to have a GPU-accelerated application. I'll post more about this soon."

They have work now too. smile You'd better buy that vid card, Keith. biggrin

Added: From PS3Grid; "The new application for Linux and Windows are now 25% faster on GTX200 Nvidia cards. We are now officially supporting Windows 32 and 64, XP and Vista."
