Good Morning!
Gray, only gentle movements of the birch twigs, no percipitation at the moment
.... 2C and the air is fragrant of the Arctic ...

Re: Re:Third rock from the sun

Evening all

A pleasant day here and, apart from a short walk to get a couple of forgotten items it's the weekly soak into the press with The Guardian, Times and FT. All the supplements keep me going for days.

Re: Re:Third rock from the sun

It is, don den.
Birch twigs have something about them apart from their year round beauty.
In Finland they whip themselves with them - should enhance the sauna thing
In Denmark we symbolically whip somebody with them on Lent Monday ...
The witches' brooms at Midsummer when they ride off to Brocken could be birch twigs

ohh, don den, plenty to be uneasy about. So IOM is so close to you.
Better have a look at my new wall map of Europe.
Pinned up both one of the World and one of Europe today tongue
- maps shall be my wallpaper cool

A typical Lent "whip" would look like this:
decorated with little items and candy
and on Lent Monday we "beat the cat out of the barrel" ... well, take my word for it
All of a sudden it seems as if we are almost as weird as those across the North Sea blushing

Sunday, Sunday :-)

Good Morning!
A pretty day shaping up:
Clear pastel sky, slight wafting of birch twigs and crisp Arctic smelling air ...
They couldn't bottle that fragrance if they would,
but you can catch it with your bed linen on the clothes line tongue
