I last smoked four weeks ago on February 12! Still want to light up, though.   I have to risk my professional lurker status to join in the congratulations. i know you can do this. it gets easier, but it doesn't go away completely.  just remember you already have the hardest weeks behind you. one day at a time (sometimes just one minute at a time).  Here Here. Congratulations. I know exactly what you are dealing with. Been There. You can make it and you clearly have the worst behind you. It just gets better as time passes.  |

Cruncher Tip: Put a box of chicks between two crunchin' servers ... perfect temp for the chicks.  I think you just found the solution to your heat problem. You just need to build a brood house and move your server farm into it! Still, the image of you as a chicken farmer....well....it's like an image of me in a Speedo and with ripped abs.........Dang... it is getting funny around here. .....Speedo.... Now I have to poke out my mind's eye. |

Still, the image of you as a chicken farmer....well....it's like an image of me in a Speedo and with ripped abs......... Oh? Actually I've had one calf and two hogs here. Chickens are no problem. My trouble is they are future meat in the spring and "pets" when winter comes. When Rick (from "Farm Kill and Processing") shows up and takes them away ...there is a tear in my eye. But the tear goes away when I smell sizzling bacon in mid winter. Gee thanks for the Speedo image ... I will be blind for life.   |

Calf, two hogs, chickens in a coop....that's ordinary country life. Chicken farming is half a dozen houses and no sense of smell.

Thanks to all of you. What amazes me is the fact that this time I am quitting with no assistance. No pills, patches, gum or lozenges. I quit smoking cold turkey. Considering the fact that I never smoked any turkey, hot, cold or even lukewarm, that is a real trick!

All the people that I know that have quit (for good), did it "cold-turkey". I am sure that is statistically insignificant sample but, interesting none-the-less.
