WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blizzie, you'd be proud of me. The fan on my work laptop was sounding like the old playing cards clipped on your bike so they sounded like a "motor" when you pedelled it. Probably bearings since the fan blades themselves look fine. Anyway, called it in at work expecting to have to overnight it for repair (replacing the fan). Granted it's not the same model laptop that I last had to send in for a fan replacement but I was a bit surprised to hear that they could overnight me the replacement parts and I could do it myself! Well, it's replaced and working MUCH quieter. I don't have any extra screws or parts left over either. laughing I will say this - there are some awfully tiny screws in a laptop so it feels good that I was able to get them back in their holes without losing any or messing something up - especially with my uncoordinated fingers!

Good job Keith! I prefer to snap fan blades. The good news: 2 new 80 CFM 120mm case fans are on their way.

Drop by and say hi harry_i_c (parmesian can attest to it being painless laughing ).

i don't know that it's painless, but for most of us lurkers its not too painfulwink

and what we are doing together makes the pain worth it
