13 calenderdays away from Sapphire, that should be a walk in the park. Even if the next Beta takes a couple of days...

It's a good thing that, unlike with CEP, there is no shortage in work units (yet) for the Flu smile With connect and buffer each on 0.01 days there is a steady Flu stream coming in and going out.

I don't think a lot of people realize it's ending so soon. I see a lot of reference to Rice being the next project to end after CEP on the forums still.

I hope you get lucky. When looking at your badges, and your "start day" then it seems your average is about 1 processor day / calendar day. This would mean that you need 45 calendar days of crunching for Flu to upgrade, and that's about the limit of the guessed duration (October 2009) of this project.

On the other hand, maybe you have multiple processors at this time so you may get it. Good luck!

Edit: After reading a post from Sekerob the end for Flu seems to be predicted for "early October". This means you'd better have 3 cores crunching non-stop for Flu now in order to be as certain as possible.

I must admit, My Stats aren't great due to a long extended break crying (well, 2 breaks from crunching, losing approx, 18 months worth of crunching time), and are a little mis-leading (up to having those breaks, only running single core machines and not always running 24/7), I only started back in March 09, but my setup now is completly different: I'm currently running:

Dell E520 2.80 GHz Dual Core / 2gb Ram / Win XP (avaerage time, approx 8.5 hrs per work unit).

Novatech Q9550 2.85GHz Quad Core / 3.25gb Ram / Win XP (average time, approx 4.25 hrs per work unit).

But now I'm back for good and with both machines running 24/7... I should get my Gold in about 6 more days (today included in that biggrin ), 55 days as of midnight update (with 9.5 hrs stuck in PV for the last 5 or so days).

Give it till Xmas, and I will hopefully be replacing the Dell with an i7-950 biggrin

Nice!

You could even take a shot at Ruby if you wanted to!
