Finally got my Emerald. On my last WU, the first 2 wingmen timed out on me, so what I returned the 9th didn't validate until the 23rd.

hopefully i can get some much need rest tonight but the new numbers just keep coming in. 81.976% and its only 10 o'clock with an hour and 15min left i can wait up to see it report. 83.095% at 1030 and its starting to move faster. wait crap it seems to have stopped at 84.219% why the heck did i agree to keep watching this. Let me click over to facebook and foxnews to burn up some tiime. A few minutes later and it finally moved up to 86.890% not too much longer now. I'm not going to bed until this last one reports. 1am and its finally up to 93.098% and i cant believe i stayed up this late to wait on this i should be in bed. click,click,click up to 94.052 then long pause 85.012% now what the crap is this ,are you serious, i waited all this time and now it drops back down. oh well an hour left. I dont have much to do toorrow anyway so i want to watch this one report in. 3am and finally 100.00% away it goes and hey 2219 shows up screw it let me get a mt. dew and a smoke and i guess ill just keep going till i cant possibly stay awake.......merry christmas crunchers.

How often does the batch position chart get updated ? I'm currently crunching:

2226 today 21 fields left ad we seem to be completing just over 1 field per day

Shane, I think you're mixing up batch numbers and protein count. Your use of the word field is non-standard, or at least I don't understand it.
The WU name contains the batch number, like your mention of receiving number 2226 today, and we've been told previously that the project has been divided into 2467 batches. See the first mention (SekeRob's post at Jun 19, 2009 2:43:54 PM), or use the researchers' chart of how many "positions" require computing per batch: click on "Positions of batches", then "Very large chart" to see detail down to batch number. Conversely, this research page says that The second phase of the HCMD project involves 2246 proteins and note lower down that page The total 2,466,753 couples are split in 2467 batches of 1000 couples each So you received a WU from batch number 2226 today, but there are 241 more batches still to go until batch number 2467. Since HCMD2 re-started a month ago, my own records say that we've been averaging about 4 batches per day. |

Tony... thanks for the info. I'm crunching hard to get to the gold badge. I'm about 4 crunching days away, so I see no problem making it. As for the rate going through the batches, it is going really fast. Sekerob's dashboard is now showing 30 days left to the project (as always, this a best-can-do estimation and may go up or down depending on many factors).

oh! well ok thats clearer now thanks but kinda a shot to the arm. Either way i overclocked my processor by half a gig to help process a little faster and get them reported back quicker. hopefully this project will provide a lot of assistance in the fight. thanks
