My finals thoughts will echo what others have said.
----------------------------------------I'm glad I participated. Boinc does get boring after awhile but this made it oddly thrilling as we had goals to complete in a short amount of time. Everyone likes being about to do things by themselves as it feels more impressive. But members helping each other was fun and we are still contributing to one project or another. The end goal is the same, the community in World Community Grid are contributing to the grunt labor of research. And this makes me feel good even if my day went poorly. I'm happy for what I've been able to contribute over the last two years but am still learning a lot with how Boinc works (never knew about the weak account key,w hat teams did, or the ability to help each other without an ID/pass). My guess is a large number of people, including myself, are not in teams and were unsure certain things: -how to attach to other persons account -how to properly update the rest of the group -how to coordinate who was getting how much help -etc. I'll chalk this up as a fun learning curve and am interested to do it again when the next project is nearing completion. Hello folks :)
Here is my updated stats. 03h30AM here to see "where am I????" lol 9 years 320 days. So I'm 365 - 320 = 45 days from my 10 years badge. + 76 days the first day. + 58 days the second day. + 62 days the third day say 60 days per calendar day, 30 days per 12 hours. So I guess in 18 more hours somewhere like that, I'll be 10 years on FAAH. At the next update, I give my stats again and 6 hours later, everybody can remove all the cores on my head and put them on someone else. Myself I will continu to crunch up to the second next update from now, so in 24 hours and once my badge is confirmed, I abort every FAAH tasks so others in need can get them and imediately I move to Ebola or if someone is in need, I can crunch for him with my 4 cores. A very small boost but as I've been given cpu cycles, no problem to give it back to those who are in need. Incredible boost since 3 days, I was still at 9 years and 119 days something like that and now 320 days.
