Warmists' trash alleged 'converted skeptic' Muller as 'absurdly naive...rubbish' -- 'Way over simplistic & not at all convincing' -- Mann says Muller all about 'self-aggrandizement'
----------------------------------------Prof. Pielke Jr. 'I want what Muller's smoking' – NYT's Revkin accuses Muller of 'P.T. Barnum showmanship...this could backfire' http://www.climatedepot.com/a/16838/Warmists-...Depot+%28Climate+Depot%29 Lord Monckton on Muller: 'If he had had a Classical training, he would have been made familiar with dozen logical fallacies first codified by Aristotle 2300 years ago' -- Monckton: 'Natural variability, therefore, is sufficient to explain all of the warming since 1750. No other explanation is necessary. Accordingly, it is not legitimate to claim, as the Berkeley team claim, that in the absence of any other explanation the warming must be attributed to CO2. That claim is an instance of the argumentum ad ignorantiam, the fundamental logical fallacy of argument from ignorance. It is not sound science' ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by GeraldRube at Jul 29, 2012 8:56:32 PM] |

Great Green Fleece: Air Force Spends $59 Per Gallon for Biofuel
----------------------------------------The U.S. Air Force spent $59 per gallon on biofuels for a demonstration last month intended to show the promise of the alternative energy source. That’s more than double what the U.S. Navy spent as part of its so-called Great Green Fleet demonstration. The total cost for the 11,000 gallons of synthetic jet fuel from Gevo Inc., a Colorado-based company, amounts to $639,000. For its demonstration, Navy officials spent $12 million on 450,000 gallons of fuel, or approximately $26 a gallon. Combining the fuel with petroleum in a 50-50 mixture reduces the cost per gallon to around $15, more than four times the cost of petroleum alone. The company providing the Navy’s biofuel, Solazyme, was a recipient of stimulus grant funding. http://blog.heritage.org/2012/07/23/great-gre...9-per-gallon-for-biofuel/ ![]() |

The July 2012 result is in and the average temperature from 2565 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 23.13C

From here on in until mid February all that currently captured heat in our atmosphere will radiate out into space (again) I'll let you have some figures once I'm sure there will be no surprises Make it a great day Dave ![]() |

Toon of the day [which I've retitled] "Willed Bliss Composure"
![]() Quote of the week [By a former willful *fake* skeptic, who actually knows something about the subject]: "Last year, following an intensive research effort involving a dozen scientists, I concluded that global warming was real and that the prior estimates of the rate of warming were correct. I’m now going a step further: Humans are almost entirely the cause." - Richard Muller http://www.skepticalscience.com/%5C%22http:/w...=4&pagewanted=all\%22And chart of the day [my subtitle] The Willed Cooling, Escalator. ![]() Our stable climate [but no longer than a cherry picked decade] |

The very worst kind of fearmongering nonsense
----------------------------------------http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/world-...bal-warming-16193908.html It's call Summer (in the NH) at the moment which is when all this type of press release gets made .... and when we are knee deep in Snow and suffering through the worst December for 300 years ..... that's just weather. The Solar Yearly Temp is flatlining at the moment at www.theglobalthermometer.com Across 2565 Weather Stations around the Globe the temperature is pretty much matching last years, which is to be expected. In an era of Global News coverage if you keep focusing on the extremes it's easy to make the case. If you do this as the chief Climate Scientist at NASA it's unforgivable. Dave ![]() |
