Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The new JAXA Satellite is live and producing data biggrin

http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/cgi-bin/seaice-monitor.cgi?lang=e

It will be interesting to watch all that Ice that has disappeared this year due to unusual weather conditions at the pole http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/NaturalHazards/view.php?id=78812&src=nha
rapidly return

that "little bit" 1.27 times the size of India

The sea temperatures tell a different story to the current ice cover

http://www7320.nrlssc.navy.mil/hycomARC/navo/arcticsstnowcast.gif

It'll be back breaking records in the Bearing Sea as it did earlier this year http://kucb.org/news/article/bering-sea-ice-extent-breaks-records/

and the cycle continues

Strange how this shows Sea Ice cover where the JAXA Satellite doesn't

Must be a calibration error with GCOM-W1 - probably to keep the trend seen by the lousy coverage of the WindSat satellite temporarily standing in for Aqua.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Here's a thing... in a flyer from my Electricity Supplier

http://climatecops.com/

with the tag line of "No Power Hour" !

Make it your goal to spend an hour without power

.... let your fridge defrost and your milk go sour <-- that's my bit wink

Do you you know of any other business that due to politicking has to encourage you not to buy the thing it sells?

Not since the great TV Program with the fantastic title "Why don't you just switch off the television and go do something less boring instead" has this happened

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRUhjFF5a6Y and this was a very very long time ago.

Buy this car but don't use it on Wednesdays. Own a house but make sure you live in a tent at least once a week. Make sure you switch off your Broadband on a Saturday.

It's absurd

"Climate Cops" - fighting to save the Planet... on a flyer from my Power Company

!!!!!!

It makes my head hurt

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Warning: Do not read if you wish to retain your Willed Bliss (Ignore reality).

Tonino Watts has outdone himself again, yes it's possible, and is dumb enough to even go against Dr. Walt Meier who even bothered to posts at his and several other full denier blogs, to explain to him what the different sea ice products present. http://tamino.wordpress.com/2012/08/28/anthony-watts-breaks-the-record/

And this is an enhanced picture of the NSIDC sea ice extent data. It's got a green line in there, which only expert chart readers will understand [as our forum history witnessed]. This is where we are with 3 weeks more melt to go... Yes the Arctic Sea Ice (and Greenland and Permaforst) Area, Extent, Volume (Cryosat-2 confirming the PIOMAS advanced model) has definitely been recovering, in some LaLaland dreams:

Sorry, but the wake-up call will come to you to somewhere in the UK, eventually.

Carry On.
