I am very curious to know how much credit will URANUS claim. If I look at my statistics a 50 hours WU should (once validated of course) generate around 3'500 points granted. The claim should be around 4'000 points. Wait and see. The Cray4 is a Q6600 2.4 or 2.5 ghz(it seemed like a supercomputer at the time) The Alienator is an Alienware with an I7 920 2.67hyperthreaded. So just over 1000 points is the best one I have. I dont get why the alienware takes longer and gets more points...seems like the Q6600 is gettin it done faster with less points (though the I7 is doin 8 at a time but still... wierd) and yes I've tried to read about the point system and no I'd rather learn yoga from an Orangatang Edit... I do play fairly intensive games on the I7 which could slow it down some maybe making the scorekeepers think it's working harder? I dont know. I'm not really griping, I'm gettin 8 for just about the 'price' of 4, just seems unfair to non hyperthreadingpeople.   [Edit 1 times, last edit by Jack007 at Feb 21, 2010 1:29:33 PM] |

If I get only 1'000 points or something I will be very disappointed.
---------------------------------------- WCG should at least grant enough points to those who accept to have sunch long lasting WU's. Otherwise it is more profitable to crunch 10 WU's with 4 or 5 hours crunching time instead of one with 50 hours. I would say that we should even get a bonus.  In my case it is one out of 350 or so WU's per day, I can afford one such WU badly compensated. But what about a member with a single CPU two core that will be monopolized for days and then get such a meagre compensation? Chances are he simply aborts it.  |

----------------------------------------I bet 98 out of 100 people would do this without the badges... and when you consider that it's RUNTIME to get badges well then it doesn't matter  .Well my Cray4 is back to rice, done with the Dengue for now, my Alienator is almost done with the last 6 Dengue, then I'll wait for more later, Keep me posted as to when there's more Dengue coming down the pipe, I'll have it selected but I'm sure Rice will be clogging my que as it does when there's multiple projects selected.
