Right where to start..............

Buckshot has become the teams 6th Millionaire biggrin
and g@dget has made it into the 1/4 Million - the first of the group of "Battling Brits" g@dget, Jonathon Wright and Fury who have been neck and neck over the last few weeks - now joined by Graham and swordfishradio

Congratulations to you both on some really impressive Crunching. Have a look at some of Buckshot's setup in our number crunchers hall of fame on the team website.

and team please get behind MWAYNE he needs your support as he was so close to the 6 digit club tonight "Come on, Come on"

Together we've been crunching for 120 years (some days it feels like a lot longer wink ) and today we also broke the 27 Million Barrier.

We are now "Cooking on Gas" posting over 1 Million points together in the last 4 days with 1,015,719 points altogether, an average of 253,929 and 3/4 points per day. That would need 360 of the Athlon 3200+ PC's I type this on running 24 hours a day which as mine benches at 3.447 GFlops makes about 1 1/4 TeraFlops of raw number crunching power added to the Grid by this team alone.

At this point I need to thank the whole team for your contribution to the WCG project and rbonneau's research at the Institute of System's Biology.

You are doing a really great job

Another night up late in the UK - but definitely worth it - 1:57am !!!!

I find ear plugs can help with the fan noise smile
Keep 'em crunching
Night
Dave

Re: Happy Fathers Day to Hairy4Paws

I totally agree with BuckShot on this one. Do it in private not public. Make all of us look bad when were fighting between each other.
Remember were already fighting...............DEATH!!
No sense fighting with each other no matter what our differences are.

WERE A TEAM FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD FIGHTING TO STOP IT.........DEATH.

Re: Please let this end here

Ah where to start in answering or should I say commenting on this post. I believe no harm was meant on the flag comment. The comment wasn't meant to hurt anyone feelings I believe. So let's just drop it and get beyond it.
Peter2005 this team is the best team around don't give up on us. Don't stop telling your friends, neghbors and family about the great bunch of people on this team because each and everyone of us are a great member of this team.
WE ARE NOT TW........... or one of those other teams who don't care if your a part of their team or not.
Every team member is important on this team no matter where you come from or what you believe in.

I agree no forum rules were broken but an ounce of common sense would suggest that prevention is better than cure and fuelling the fire does no one any good
As Team Captain, I believe David Autumns has earned the right to request your cooperation in these matters, as it reflects on the team as a whole
It is a given fact that we are all responsible adults here or why else would we be so motivated to contribute to such a worthy cause

I have not had a lot to say lately, as I chose to keep a low profile for a while, as I was getting too much exposure in the forums, but I will not stand by and see all my efforts called into question because of one unfortunate remark made by a team member
We can have 500 positive posts in one thread, however one post that is perceived to be negative can bring our efforts into disrepute and stifle our recruiting efforts
Would everyone involved in this incident please put it behind you and get back to doing what we do best
That is being the team that we have become, because of everyone's individual effort to promote a positive outlook towards this project
I respectfully request that all parties let this unfortunate incident end here.

I'm in total agreement with the above copied material. This team has worked to long and to hard together to get to this point and implode on ourselves after all of the hard work done by all involved in this team new or old.

Re: MyOnlineTeam Welcomes Our Latest Member

Many thanks to the warm welcome by Graham and other team members, that was really nice!! smile

I saw the home page and instantly knew that this would be my team.

I'm from Germany and I just found WCG last week -- I was crunching for seti@home for a couple of years. During the last few days I converted some machines to WGC and now can do some 2,000-2,500 points per day but these are only about 10% of our computing power -- most of our devices run on Linux so when the Linux clients become available I will convert all and hope to raise the daily MOT crunching by 10% then.

Best regards, Stefan.

PS: Are the member list flags on the team homepage generated or configured manually? They show a "?" for my flag although my profile is complete. Maybe Graham David will enter it?

Re: MyOnlineTeam Welcomes Our Latest Member

Stefan --

You will need to send an e-mail to team captain David Autumns (on the team home page, select his name and "get stats" for his e-mail address). Put whatever you would like on your stats page in the e-mail and he will update it for you.

Where are you located in Germany? I have visited friends in Kempen, Gummersbach, Lebusa and Büdingen as well as done some traveling around in the country by rail. I really enjoyed myself there.

Your team mate,

Re: MyOnlineTeam Welcomes Our Latest Member

Hi again!

Sorry I mixed up Graham and David -- my fault.

@Graham: thanks for sending a note to David regarding the flag!

@Dave Bell: I'm from Kiel in the North of Germany, located at the Baltic Sea. 100km north of Hamburg and quite close to the Danish border. Maybe some of you are into sailing and know the "Kieler Woche" (Kiel week), a large annual 9-day sailing event combined with a huge town festival. It started this weekend so actually at the moment the city of Kiel is going bananas.

Did anybody of you watch the Formula 1 "race" (only 6 cars of 20 started) in Indianapolis yesterday?? I know that Formula 1 isn't too famous in the USA (a bit like soccer) and I wonder if the sporting reports explained what happened. It was a shame and I could understand the US fans (at least 150,000 came to see it) where catcalling with thumbs down...

Best regards, Stefan.
