DAJ - funny you should mention this cause I've been keeping stats on the top 5 teams since 1 May (sad I know )IBM Corp are indeed 8,553,098 ahead of us and we have been catching them at an average rate of 66,146 points a day since 1 May. (By coincidence we returned 66,396 points more than them yesterday, which made your number of days calculation virtually correct). At the current rate 29 November should see us above the last IBM team. (Some of you may recall the last figures I posted mentioned start of December .. but with the consistent returns we pumped in during May we managed to pull back over a month on them  )As for TW, since 1 May they had been pulling away from us by over 50,000 points per day. If we can continue to out perform them by the same amount as yesterday (25,411) your number of days will be right. But we have only beaten them for 3 days in a row so far and the average for these 3 days works out at only 18,235. At this average rate we are looking at 125 days to pass TW. (A more accurate estimation can be made when we have figures for another week or so). Whilst some TW members seem to have passed their attention span for WCG, people like TKK, Snipes, Geck0, Beren & Brasstax from TW have been reminding people on the TW forums to carry on with their contribution to WCG. Looking at the TW thread Julied posted, mr_luc may also grace us with another rallying cry in the near future. As soon as we start getting close to TW, I am sure they will fight back (even if only for a while) .. they just don't like to loose .. especially to MOT  Let's see if we can continue to outperforming them and draw TW back for a fight |

Don't bother us with facts. There are lies, d*mn lies and statistics. One data point is enough to validate a premise. BTW - my pentium II finally completed a monster: 8 days, 11 hours - 2,450 points. Welcome to all the new members. Thank you all that mentioned that I have over a million points. It should seem more of an accomplishment than it does for some reason...I immediately thought it will be nice to be a multi-million point getter.
---------------------------------------- I, like the others that have mentioned it, could not believe the US F1 race. I don't know all the reasons behind the decisions that where taken and I don't condone the kind of behavior that some of the fans displayed but I do know that it was a sad day for the sport. While living in England I was a big F1 fan. It kind of makes you wonder why the human animal on occasion is so self-destructive. Very strange. The consolation for us red-necks was that we still add onna em racin deals (The NASCAR race was held) Thanks for being a good team. Thanks for contributing to finding cures. Take a moment to reflect on what you are contributing. You are saving lives.  |
