Re: Your most frequent English language stumble

Aye, rr967. "Fanny" can cause lots of problems for me. Could even get one arrested in some places for improper use.

Re: Your most frequent English language stumble

[OT]I follow the two basic rules when using English language.

1. In written form (this applies to all "my" languages including my mother tongue):
If what you say in writing is clear and every word is spelled wrong, what you say is still clear, and nobody can misunderstand you.
(any guess who has said/written this? wink )

2. In spoken form:

Majority of English-is-not-my-first-language speakers are afraid that they have said it wrong so that is the reason the person they are talking to has not understood what they want to say. I am sure, that the reason why somebody do not understand what I have said is simply because (s)he has understood it wrong, so I will do my best to explain it differently d oh

Of course, I am trying not to rape English language, but positive, egoistic way of thinking helps a lot raised eyebrow

Wonderful. Some changes are for the better but some are like introducing a new line of spike studded suppositories. crying
