Picked up 7 DDDT2 tasks before I knew there were any.
----------------------------------------dg01_ b053_ pqa007_ 1-- and dg01_ a432_ pr45a1_ 0-- on an i7-2600 @3.6GHz finished in 2.56h and 2.46 respectively (all HT threads in use). dg01_ b052_ pdb003_ 1-- finished on an i7-2600K (Ubuntu x64) in 0.15h. These pdb tasks could sure work wonders for your tasks completed rank. Spent 30min trying to pick up a few more - got four. With the tap only dripping I won't be leaving anything on DDDT2 only, just yet. One task that started downloading failed during the download. What platforms are getting these work units, im running windows with pentiums / amd's xp and 7 and don't ever see any work units it seems. Aaron That's strange, I'm running Windows XP 32 bit, Windows 7 64 bit and OSX 6.5, but I've managed to get 796 so far in the last 24 hours. Windows machines are running all Intel i7 and Core2Duo. I've gotten 108; only using about half my devices for DDDT2 exclusively, Win XP x86, Win 7 x86, and Linux x64, cache set to 2 days, clients still complain "No work available ..." every so often, but plenty of tasks crunching happily. "OSX 6.5"  |

every so often... Most of the time here, but I've now downloaded around 25 or 30 (and no more download errors).
Think I need around 100days worth, but at 9min for the short tasks and 66min for the long tasks I will need thousands more. The drip feeder is a bit too close to dry for me, so off to crunch HCC... |

Big cachers are warned: The estimated run times are not as closely tuned to the C Types subs pc pd pq pr sr sq sd etc as the previous rain. All axxx series have now 5:34 hours estimate on my quad, but real times are between 1:20 and 4:45 hours. All bxxx are arriving with 2:44. When they start computing, the DCF [Duration Correction Factor] will start inflating and recomputing these times upward. E.g a 5 days cache could then nearly double in projected time and panic mode [high priority processing] will start to kick in as the client will perceive deadline threats. If panic mode occurs on all cores **, work fetching stops. So, be warned!
--//-- ** This rule seems to no longer apply / act differently on 6.12 [observation]. Regardless all core panic processing, cache backfilling continues to the limit set [but not beyond deadline of new work]. Then there will be a warning in the messages/event log that there's not enough time to complete the task(s). |
