I'm not getting tons of WU, but I'm getting enough to keep 6 cores on my Mac busy, so I can't complain. I have 6 CPU days to go for my green badge, and then I'll turn off DDDT2 and let someone else have the WU. I hope the scientists are enjoying this as much as we are.

c227... - this probably means that the drizzle will be over tomorrow. c401 now - the pace has decreased. So the rain will probably last well into the weekend. ![]() Regards, Martin ![]() |

I understand that dddt2 is intermittent and when it does appear, the WU are in short supply. Although I try to stay calm and patient, occasionally something happens that causes me to vigorously scratch my head.
My quad has been asking for dddt2 only for the last 13:52 (HH:MM). In that time, nearly 14 hours, it has singly received 5 WU although it has requested WU 73 times. About 15 hours ago, my buffer was full and now it is short by 96 hours and would be dry if my buffer was 1.0 days. From this I see two conclusions: 1) The randomness of getting DDDT2 WU is even more random than you can imagine. 2) If you want to run dddt2 only to the max, 'set and forget' is not going to work so you might as well be happy with what you do get, since there will be crunchers who are luckier than you. |

Knot point knot issue on me Linux box... don't know why... less competition to fill the wingman slots, maybe. The cache has slowly maxed to the desired setting ... DCF 0.76 this minute and now even receiving repairs that are jumping ahead of queue by themselves [servers remembering recent ''history'']. But, you've managed a blue, whilst me is 335 days away from that target :D)
------------------------------------------//-- P.S. The repairs I micro-check to see what happened to prior copies ![]() edit: And sure enough, the latest repair was to surplace a -200 sufferer... those that do not check after download and are send back post-haste. My copy is fine... 30 minutes done now. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 22, 2011 1:54:40 PM] |

The 37 I picked up from this morning, on three i7's with low cache, takes my cache to around 3.75days (from about 40 cores).
For those systems that picked up tasks, cached was moved to 0.75days before changing to DDDT2 only, and cache increased again. Only 1 single DDDT2 task arrived at one other system since yesterday. With only 96days to go I could normally cache up to around 5days on half my systems and expect to get there (easy management). Oh well, ![]() |

During the past 12 hours, I've gotten several times more WU than I was getting. I have enough in my cache to get me to green, so I've turned DDDT2 off and am going back to clean energy. I need about 58 CPU days to get green there, and then I'll focus on clean water and let it go until I get blue.

But, you've managed a blue, whilst me is 335 days away from that target There is certainly a difference between Linux and Windows. I often see the message '...other platforms...' which suggest there is work waiting for a Linux box.My Blue (which is actually a Blue x 2.5) is merely a symbol of the time that I spent micro-managing my boxes, a hobby I don't enjoy any more. I wish you all the best in nailing down those Sapphires. I do understand the challenge of scrambling for Sapphires with 25Gf of powah, even more so as I have lost one third of my powah in recent times. Changing those last three Emeralds to Sapphires will be a meaningful recognition of your contribution. |

Between midnight and noon (both UTC) 9,570 valid dddt2's returned.
That makes a total return from the current rain of 20.9% until 12:00 UTC. |

I have similar issues as everybody else does. I have one machine on XP having major issues to remain 'wet' (and not run dry!). For the night I had to fill the gap with some FAAH.
Instead, Windows 7 machines are fine, filling to almost satisfaction their caches. All in all, I cannot complain, the rain made me wet, although I won't reach with this Emerald. |
