Not raining yet. Hi Paul - bagging badges is good for morale! Still only a drizzle ... I have gotten one or two here and there over the last few hours ... As to morale... then why is mine sucking swamp water? :) |

Cached 120 units last rain, by itself, got it down to 20 yesterday, set the gates open again and when looking in last night the number had risen back to 90. All C Type Px, no Sx, i.e. my quad will be chewing through them at 4.5 hours a piece. When done, will probably be half way Ruby. To think all this chasing when there's still 22 million tasks to do.

... When done, will probably be half way Ruby. To think all this chasing when there's still 22 million tasks to do. It is hard to guesstimate how many days to add to the 139 I have for all the WUs in PV status. I switch back and forth from not including C4CW to including it since I don't want to run out of work in the middle of the night. |

Dread, only now see that at the top of the last buffer-up are 4 of the *pe* branch... that's B-Type and monster long with 7 day deadline. Going to inflate the TTC for the remaining 43 in queue when they're done and a little panic state... well maybe not as the present projected per-core time left is 2:14 days in queue. Bit late to notice 2 days later as all that C rain depends on them

This has been a slow and fustrating project to get WUs.
----------------------------------------I started both C4CW and CEP2 after DDDT2 and have saphires in both but only have a Ruby for DDDT2. I run with no cache and contribute about 100 days of run time per day. I normally just leave everyting alone and let things run and I have only got a dribble of DDDT2 WUs. Since I am on vacation I decided to "play" with WCG to see if I could increase my DDDT2 WU consumption. I created a new profile for just DDDT2 only, dedicated 8 of my fastest machines to this new profile, including my new I7 980x I just built this weekend to it. I set cache to 5 days, and was a "bad" boy and repeatedly hit update many times to fill up the cache. I did not want to run out of WUs and take the chance of processing nothing by dedicating these machines to DDDT2. It has been a deluge! Over the last two days, I have accumulated over 1,400 WUs in cache. Since these machines are pretty fast, and run WCG 24x7, I will have no problem getting Emerald tonight, althouh I am still a long way off for Saphire, unless this deluge continues.    |
