At this point the project will not move from intermittent to active. If work becomes more readily available, then we may consider changing it's status.

It is active and intermittent or as the term was introduced "active intermittent" for which there is no class. There wont be a permanent stream unless the techs change strategy in the hopper and curtail distribution in such a way that there is uninterrupted supply (as in every day a little)... but does that help the scientists? Don't think so, so it will be in burst... some drizzle, some deluge, some drought and sometimes just clouds with nothing coming out. This was announced at the very start of the project and by keeping it in AI, no more unreasonable expectations will develop, which is why it was moved out of active... it was just not being accepted.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Has anyone else noticed that DDDT2 WUs are becoming much more plentiful over the last couple of days?
"The reason that the WU are hard to get is because there are more people requesting dddt2 wu than there are WU. They get grabbed up quickly because there are a lot of people grabbing."
Confession: I'm a little guilty of doing some grabbing blushing but I'm done for a while, so that leaves a few more WUs out there.
And I think that many of the keen badge-hunters are decreasing their grabbing too.

I noticed that the WUs come in type-letter order in little runs, with gaps between each letter-type, eg pc, pd, ..., pr, sd, sq, sr, and then the cycle starts over again. Often there is a longer pause before the next cycle starts, and perhaps between the p's and the s's. The fastest bursts of downloads seem to be the pr and sr WUs, as though the techs are throwing out the leftovers.

[Edit]: Still a bit more rain before the dry weather starts again it seems. Just arrived (not "grabbed"):

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I left all my systems running all night with only DDDT2 selected and I now have 86 WUs on 4 machines. I will keep the selection this way until I see I am not getting any new WUs. In the mean time, C4CW has surpassed the 180 days for the ruby and I still have some cached which will run before DDDT2 starts processing again.
