Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Hi James,

Go to the WCG web site. Click on "My Grid", then click on "Device Manager". In the middle of the screen, click on the "Device Profile" for the "Device Name" (computer name) that you want to change. When the device profile opens up, click on the radio button for "Custom Profile" so you can see all the options.

Scroll all the way to the bottom. The next to the last section is called "Project Specific Settings". The option is "Number of workunits per host for The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2?" Pick the maximum number of work units you want downloaded to your PC at one time in the drop down box. Then click "Save" at the bottom of the window.

That should get you going.

If you have more questions, please let us know,
CaptainJack

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We didn't really get to talk about it while it was running, but now that the Pentathlon is over - it was a great success btw - we at least want to honor the winners! Planet3DNow was the gold medal winner: http://www.seti-germany.de/blog/2013/05/boinc...ony-world-community-grid/
CONGRATS - well done!!!

Here are all the final results from the WCG portion: http://www.seti-germany.de/boinc_pentathlon/s...allenge.php?challengeid=2

Thanks again for participating and showering us with results. It seems that even our servers had temporarily weak knees :).

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We had another CEPDB frontend meeting yesterday โ€“ with significant progress. The public launch date is set btw (still secret though), and a new server for the database access is ordered. How exciting biggrin .

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We are currently tinkering and tweaking with the structure-property analysis of our most promising candidate lists. Very interesting, but also a tricky business biggrin . That's how science is supposed to be!
