I think this is going to be another great month for us. We hopefully will break 170 million before month end. We are also closing on a 510K point average day and a 186 million pace with one last month to go.
----------------------------------------If DA continues having days like today, he should manage to become our 15th member to break 2,000,000 points for the year! Nice milestone pramodp! Come on and join in here and let the "lurker's bench" cool!  We have several lurkers I'd love to hear from. Don't worry about your English. In fact, post in your native language - there's always places like Babelfish for us to translate it. RT, I haven't heard anything offline from Gerald. I guess it's a long vacation (I hope!). For thouse of you running CEP2 on Windows and running more than one WU at a time, I think you want to avoid suspended CEP2 tasks. From my experimenting, it appears that you can run into problems. The more I had in Waiting to Run, the more likely it seems that I'd start seeing that message about a missing "finished" file periodically. I think that caused the WU involved to go back to the last checkpoint which is about once every two hours on my machines. It's hard to be certain as elapsed time wasn't way above CPU time. Maybe that's what you were running into Judson? |

Who knows but have deleated and no longer run CEP-2 on that machine and is nicely cranking out 25,000 +/- a day without issue. Ordered my first parts to build my killer machine. Really getting tired of all these new crunchers flying by me like I was sitting still. great for WCG but my competitive nature that just kinda riles me! AMD processors appear to have more L2 and L3 cache which if I understand how chips work really speads up the process. The new 12 core chips on a 4 cpu server board looks nice but cautious as the manufacturers are constantly increasing speed but at some point have to jump in. Looking at phase change coolers. like I said over the top but will build bit by bit as can start with one cpu and go from there. |
