Looking at the past two months, I see that we pretty much did about the same both months while Gerald was on his vacation and had less than half of his prior month. With him back and his machines back online and presuming that December will be back to normal, that would put us around a 19 million point month by itself. Given some of the other trends such as Judson's succumming to the crunching addictions

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Isn't it funny how we all copy Mr. Bell? I miss him.... It's good to see it. Will we ever not miss him? He surprised me at times with just how important crunching and this team was to him. I mean, if you try to describe crunching to someone who knows nothing about it, they often find it hard to understand how it could mean much of anything. Yet Dave was there keeping his machines going even when he was in the hospital each time. Only his fellow crunchers could understand why dealing with juggling the power requirements of his machines and medical equipment to keep his breakers from tripping could not be resolved by simply shutting off a cruncher. Dave started the congratulatory posts and I'd cover for him during his hospital times until he was back home and up to it again. It was something he wanted to do for the team. I'd love to be able to give it back to him again. We have lots of other "Dave"s on this team. That's what's so special about MOT - you folks. People who care, who want to make a difference. I think that's why this team meant so much to Dave, and in turn, him to us. |

Perspective is funny as when I first looked at the bar graph this morning I was disapointed as I had need out of town and figured yesterday's totals were probably 80,000 or around there meaning the other days were considerably less! Kinda like the story of the wrestler Andre The Giant and his friend walking up the street to the French army registration office and the two officers looking at them saying how does that tiny man ever expect to be enlisted in the army only to realize when he was closer the small guy was 6 feet tall! So yes I was away putting in AC ducting! PV once they are finally verified sure can cause huge increases!

I think that's why this team meant so much to Dave, and in turn, him to us. One of the few regrets I have in life is that I made it to Durham, North Carolina a few years back. Dave was living in that area then. He had been in the hospital there and I intended to drop by to meet him in person. He was released from the hospital the day i arrived in town. He invited me to his house about an hour away, but I declined because of other commitments. Looking back, I can say the other commitments weren't that important. I should have made the short drive. Hopefully i can learn something from that. In Memory of Dave Bell |
