Re: flagU.S. Air Force Team-Come fly with usflag

Argh! Send some my way, wouldja? Florida is in such a severe drought that I can now walk across the bottom of what used to be a 5 foot deep pond in front of my house.

They had so many fires in a little town west of here yesterday that the well water dried up and the poor fire fighters had to truck water in. Last one was a timber yard, so there went the local jobs...

I'm not going anywhere for awhile, so at least you'll have a few on for the duration.

Hyper had to burn fast and hot to make up for all that downtime!

Good luck Sport hope the ice storm misses ya. If you need better weather come visit, 78 today with a cold front moving in on us too. Going to have to get out the long pants, gonna get real cold, 62-67 for a high by Friday. cool
Winter is my time to tease, summer will be yours when it's 110+ here. biggrin
My dad is in NC and I was there after the last big ice storm helping him cut damaged pines before they fell on his house. I do hope that the weather avoids you.

This Ice Storm wasn't near as bad as they predicted; not near what the ones in 2003 and 2008 were....YET!!!!!

I've lived in both, it'll freeze there on a couple mornings in the next couple weeks, but be 50 degrees by 2:00...

In the Summer..."...but it's a dry heat"....BS!! 113 degrees is like walking into an oven!!!

Granted 90 here with 80% humidity will paralyze you!...but 113...come on crying

@ Sujo...load those puppies up, have a safe trip, plan to hear from you when you get back...HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

Yeah. That "dry heat" when I was stationed in Nevada would mummify you between the office and car.

Happy down here. It went from 39 to 70 today and might even sprinkle tomorrow. Meanwhile, 6 more fires around town today. We need sky water!

@Ghostey...I'm going to be moving some machines around

adding some.. deleting some as they come and go...it's a business after all, and 'tis the season..but your production should keep going upwards depending on PV Jail

@ Hypernova; Parmesian, and any one here that isn't associated with U.S.Air Force; I'm reasonably sure you would be welcome to join ...at you discretion of course!

As far as BaseCamp is concerned, well just visit <<<Base Camp Constitution>>> just to see what we are all about.

Any Rogue that I've seen here would be more than welcome @ Base Camp...right TLD?!?!

We don't make this a full time deal; but 2 or 3 ..maybe 4 times a year we do our best to help some deserving team out ...and POWER PLAYERS are always welcome! cool

Looks like they were having fun throwing supplies out the back of the airplane Rammie. chicken

For those who read this thread I am a member of the Air Force team and I joined up with the Base Campers to have a little fun doing this important work. These guys and gals are a great bunch and really have fun working as a team meeting new friends in World Community Grid.

If you want to get an idea what it's like here in Arizona during the summer take a hair dryer turned on high and blow it in your face from about 12 inches. You will get the same feeling as if you were driving down the road at 45mph in Arizona with your window rolled down.
I get to put on all my firefighting gear and spray water on the red stuff when it's 110+ out in the summer. We are told to drink a quart of water an hour while working in the heat so we don't melt. Can you imagine anything more fun? biggrin

Actually I left Colorado in March...slight beginning of Spring after a nasty winter..arrived in Phoenix with 85 degree weather...2 days later I was running a Bulldozer with the fan turned so the heat was sucking towards me as opposed to blowing away...I thought I was going to melt!!!

we actually dunked our shirts in a water truck @ 8:00 in the morning to cool off ...but they were dry 10 minutes later!!!!

57F headed for 70 today. Doing a major rain dance trying to squeeze some of the wet out of the clouds before the arsonists around here can burn any more dessicated timber.

Still trying to figure out how to squeeze more crunch out of the prior plague carrier. Seems like it's still running harder than it should for the amount of jobs it's turning in. I'll see what else I can tweak.
