Fellow members,
WCG is a truly innovative experience for the mankind. Each project is extremely useful (as a cancer survivor, I run also HCC) . However, c4cw is unique because it represents a basic current need for more than one billion people in the world. I have just launched a challenge today to make them a Christmas gift with ending c4cw at December 25, for offer them a healthy world in 2012. The world will cope with many tough socio-economical challenges in a very near future. Clean water is the basis for life. Best Regards, |

BTW, where are you from? Your name looks rather complicated for me. <Sorry, for not being better informed - I just run around and blabber all the time - but somebody has to do it - look at Team U.S. Navy; they post once a year. Max!  > I'm sure there is a Thread or a Forum where "Challenges" are explained in full so that even I can understand it. I tried a search with no luck. I should appreciate if somebody could point me in the right direction, please. |

Dear all,
Thanks for the first teams enrolled....... 1 billon people without clean water, IT S A SHAME FOR ALL THE MANKIND.... and 2012 will be tough, not because of the maya prophetie , but because of the global socio-economical crisis !!! Can WCG will work again in one year ??? In war periods, technologies HAD MADE AMAZING STEP FORWARD !!!!!! in very short periods..... Clean water is a real war for 1 billon people!!!! Can We make a big step forward to finish c4cw ASAP ???? i hope so |

This challenge is like a "impossible mission in war" or a Christmas dream ..... on the unique human basic need. As a Geographer with a major in emergency management, I am developing new methods in social sciences to cope with current problems. WCG offer me another view about sciences. |

I meant to ask if this Challenge you announce is on an individual basis as opposed to a Team Challenge. By an individual basis I think of: - you join as a cruncher - I join as another cruncher - Falconet who's lurking here now joins, too and then we all compete with each other ... |

----------------------------------------I thing that's not meant to be a personal challenge nor team challenge. No competition is expected. It's a challenge for the whole WCG. Theoretically it's possible, if all the people in WCG would concentrate on C4CW and stop all the other projects, we would probably manage to finish this project before Xmas this year. I am not very smart with a computer..... But, this challenge is a Team challenge. However, currently, I am single in my team which is.... my research group from my book. ;-) """Where are you from? I don't make a standing between projects. Everything is useful. However, What kind of project can have a DIRECT AND IMMEDIATE impact on 1 billon people ??? it's c4cw. The near future will be tough..... How can we accept 1 billon people without clean water ??? And without clean water, all the diseases occur. If each WCG user hire friends to run c4cw. it can have a massive impact. Two months until Christmas, it's enough to make a big Step forward !!!!! |
