This is an absolutely lovely picture, ski1939

- and I do hope to be on the safe side of infliction
- I better make it 16 years , tho
Is it a Norman Rockwell?
It could be.
This one must be just about the most warming for all of you Americans
Merry Christmas to you and yours, ski1939

- there was a special at Guggenheim ten years ago

Re: Thank you ski1939 - the same to you ♥

- Ela me faz sorrir e me traz de bom humor - e eu amo o futebol
~~~~~~ rose ~~~~~~
cool GIBA, all the time you sunglass smiley makes me smile .
This I told you when I one day burst into your Samba School .
I have taken to translate with Google Translate, but I'm not sure it is accurate about what I want to say
- because I don't know Portuguese , so I cannot check the translation
I know you sometimes get funny results
- one lady translated from English into Danish and wanted to say she "checked on her neighbours"
- but in translation it was twisted into her saying that she "controlled her neighbours"
tongue he-he I hope Google Translate does a good job for us, GIBA
Sorry for repeating myself - a prerogative for oldies like me - but I love this song
- it makes me smile and brings me in a good mood - and I love football
Re: Where did the aircraft carrier go????
@ GeraldRube: shock What happened to your aircraft carrier ?
I was to ask you - because,
well, I take it you are aware that my imaginiation is border line blushing
- and I apologize in advance, should I be inflicting sumthin'
But you know, I kind of imagine you as a big, tall, portly man with a deep voice
- and that is all based on that aircraft carrier
- which is gone shock crying
Who is the handsome young man in your signature?
And the story behind you putting him there?
Did you pack your tools ?
I favour the very discreet Rose in my living room
- oh, and in the bedroom
- and in the entry, too
Could that land us a quantity discount with Sherwin-Williams for a big, big bucket?
I'm not sure about the kitchen, tho, that little rose may not work well with food ... confused ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I love roses--we have red and yellow roses in the yard--they would be ok in any room--i envision you as a lovely and intelligent young lady--, conceive, conjure (up), dream, envisage, envision, fancy, fantasize, fantasy, feature, ideate, image, picture, see, vision, visualize--daydream, stargaze; hallucinate; re-create, reflect, relive, reminisce; contemplate, meditate, muse, ponder, ruminate; concoct, fabricate, invent, make up, manufacture, plan, project; foresee, prefigure--these thoughts come to mind-- smile smile I removed the aircraft carrier so the pages would load faster--as for the young man--http://winteryknight.wordpress.com/2011/05/06...rphy-wins-medal-of-honor/ --and-- http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/05/09/rem...navy-seal-gave-life-save/ I really hope you had a Merry Christmas and good health. wink Of all the people at WCG you and Dave Autumns are people i would like to meet in person smile smile--- And of course the members of MOT but we are all so far away sad Do you like to read??and have you thought about writing short stories---
Re: Where did the aircraft carrier go????
My Christmas was good, thank you:
Christmas 2011
A little different from the traditional stuff, and very enjoyable for the two of us tongue
I hope yours is, too. Are you having turkey with all the trimmings as I write?
Thank you, GeraldRube - I'm all of the above batting eyelashes
biggrin biggrin biggrin from your synonyme shop,
- except for young!
smile biggrin
But I make up for that by being a b***h at times whistling
Once I read something along the lines of
Getting angry
at the right dose, for the right reason, with the right person, at the right time is an art form.
I'm still practising that biggrin
sad I read your link about the SEAL. No matter where you turn, there are sorrow, pain and tragedies.
Noone deserves that.
I read your other link as well. I think you meant it as a viewpoint in your ongoing political debates,
and posted it here by mistake, which I certainly don't see as an infliction.
I hope noone takes my comment as such either.
For the books: Prostitution is legal in Denmark.
You have to register with the IRS, keep books, pay income tax and VAT (+ 25%).
We have volunteer organisations who help the women who want out.
We have a surprisingly high illegal import of women.
We have many male tourists from Sweden, I think.
You would like to meet some of your cruncher friends. I can recommend it.
I had the good fortune meeting three of our Team Edwardian crunchers last September:
Edwardian, Guitar Man and Scribe - what a treat tongue
I don't have tools, GeraldRube, but I travel coffee coffee
Sometime in the spring: Potsdam/Berlin, Germany,
to hike and laugh with Kati, whose lover broke up with her just as I met her on Facebook.
I reckognised her pain from my own experience, so we cried a lot backstage there.
In July it will be Norway.
On the 22th it will be one year since a man I regard as a psychopath, wrecked havoc
by exploding a fertilizer bomb in the Government district of the capitol there, Oslo, killing eight persons instantly,
and then went on to Utøya - a tiny island in the Oslo Fjord - executing 69
mainly young people attending a political summer meeting.
Bruce Springsteen had alredey scheduled concerts in Oslo on 21, 23 and 24 July.
Rumour has it he can be persuaded into doing one on that date: July 22 in that place: Utøya.
That event shall probably be for the survivors and those who loved the victims, so
I have a ticket for July 23, and I shall meet Norwegian Gunn,
the founder of a 2,650 people support group that refuses to die.
And come autumn, German Kati will come here and we'll walk along the beach,
and Guitar Man and his wife Sue will visit me. tongue
Oh, I almost forgot!
In a few days upstairs Yvonne and I go New York and will be at
Times Square on New Years at 0500 UTC
Re: Where did the aircraft carrier go????
It was there, when I clicked
- and I don't mind the slightest, GeraldRube rose
I think it's interesting that the viewpoint was made that
prohibition and criminalising prostitution takes it away
argueing that Sweden has less imported women that Finland
- which also happens to share borders with Sweden as Denmark does.
And that the author wanted somehow link it to something with guns.
I don't believe in prohibition of firearms either, but I sure would like to know
how we learn to avoid them being used the way that man
with his incomplete brain did that day in Norway .... sad
Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway
grieving her stepbrother - a police officer - who was among those killed.
What are you eating today, GeraldRube smile
Are you in Virginia or in Texas?
