Some mainstream media is starting to pick up on LENR developments: #1. Since when is the Falls Church News-Press considered "mainstream media"? Circulation? 30,000! The Corner Brook Western Star in Corner Brook, Newfoundland is reported to have a weekly circulation of 36,142.http://www.fcnp.com/commentary/national/11916...-edisonian-approach-.html #2. The author of the article, Tom Whipple, has the following bio:(note that the copyright on the following has expired in 2010) Tom Whipple is one of the most highly respected analysts of peak oil issues in the United States. A retired 30-year CIA analyst who has been following the peak oil story since 1999, Tom is the editor of the daily Peak Oil News and the weekly Peak Oil Review, both published by the Association for the Study of Peak Oil-USA. He is also a weekly columnist on peak oil issues for the Falls Church News Press. Tom has degrees from Rice University and the London School of Economics Note: He has no experience in physics nor nuclear physics, making him an ideal journalist with no professional knowledge on the subject. |

Astrolabe,
----------------------------------------I'm watching with amusement on how many respectable people (and more knowledgeable than you) and institutions you need to bash on so you can feel that you don't loose your marbles regarding the new advancements in cold fusion (hence, in physics) that you cannot keep up to. I will continue to inform the other WCG members on new LENR developments, but you, please, continue to make a fool of yourself. It does wonders for this thread. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by damir1978 at May 31, 2012 5:40:05 PM] |

Somebody went to MIT to see the NANOR Cold Fusion Device which has been running there since January of this year and created for us this YouTube Video of NANOR with some explanations from Prof Hagelstein I watched the video and what I saw was a covered plastic cat box with a dim light inside and 2 wires not connected to any of the 3 multimeters or the laptop (turned off) gratuitously placed nearby. The light could be powered by Duracell; I couldn't tell. Gosh, I thought I was going to see something. I'm crestfallen. ![]() |

Update from Brillouin on their very advanced LENR system "Hot Tube" (version 2 of the original cold fusion reactor from 2006) that they are currently testing it at SRI International and new info on a third version (improved "Hot Tube" ?):
----------------------------------------"Robert Godes has a short, but sweet blog post up. It looks like Brillouin has completed their first round of funding and are currently in negotiations with SRI for work on their 3rd generation systems. - We have closed our first round of funding this month, and are now completing negotiations to collaborate with SRI-www.sri.com - on our 3rd generation boiler design. Stay tuned as we will be redesigning an updated wet boiler system as creating a new dry boiler model. - On the Brillouin Energy website, it is noted that they have completed their first international license agreement covering 3 countries and that additional discussions for licensing are ongoing." http://lenr-coldfusion.com/2012/05/31/brillou...ing-and-sri-negotiations/ That report plus this update from A. Rossi about the raised E-CAT temperature breakthrough from 200C (good for heating) to 600C(good for electricity with the proper turbine) is bringing the race closer to electrical application of this wonderful and new nuclear technology. http://www.e-catworld.com/2012/05/rossi-reliable-stability-at-600-c-very-close/ What 600C E-CAT can do for us is covered by Hank Mills in this piece: http://www.e-catworld.com/2012/05/the-very-high-cop-of-the-e-cat/ ---------------------------------------- [Edit 4 times, last edit by damir1978 at May 31, 2012 7:48:31 PM] |

You are acting just like one of those journalists who know nothing about what they are reporting on. I am a CRITIC not a fool. I am not the one who is
an ardent enthusiast who cannot resist an opportunity to indulge an enthusiasm The conclusion I draw about the work (that Rossi's theory is a sham ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My criticism of this work is that there is no proof, yet you ignore that undisputed fact. There is no peer review of the work, also undisputed, yet you conclude it works. You report 1M commercial units will be made soon, but you aren't making them. If you are going to be a journalist, since you are not the researcher, you should separate the facts and the fiction. The error I believe you made is to support theory as facts and that will get you suspended from even a one-room school. ![]() |

Astrolabe,
----------------------------------------You're losing it. You cannot stop LENR now... it is in full swing with too many institutions. And the public loves it too much... It brings Free Energy, for Christ's Sake. |

Surrounding a subjectMatter on hand (in this case: coldFusion), there are two(2) things, in my opinion, that are involved in a discussion: 1] Facts, or its absence. 2] Proof, or its absence. If we all want to concentrate on the above, there is a second-layer we can dive into: confirmation and acknowledgement, or the counterpart contestation and challenge. But we all are humans, and not cold-blooded machines, so I guess there is-, and there has always been-, room for the 3rd-item -- an item which stands out in the discussion between damir1978 and astrolabe: 3] What people want to continue to believe in. astrolabe has a point in that nothing about coldFusion has been proven, and that's it: period, case closed, end of story; damir1978 would rather have it stated as "nothing about coldFusion has been proven yet but we are on the way there, starting 2012, and it's just a matter of time". </comment> P.S: The burden-of-proof has always been on the offensive-team: damir1978 having to convince us that coldFusion works. How about switching sides, astrolabe? Why not play the offensive-team and prove to us that coldFusion cannot possibly work, now and in the future? If you want to stick to your guns, astrolabe, your offensive-team should be able to give us a touchdown. Ready with your defense, damir1978? This should be an interesting match. ![]() ; |

Andzgrid, your Jedi mind tricks have no power in this thread. Logic and reason are dead and meaningless.
