So if I read your post correctly, this is not free now because it does not exist, it won't be cheap initially as the inventors want to be paid for their invention, it won't be free initially because you will have to buy the machines, it won't be cheap in the future because you will have to buy the palladium ($611 per ounce), silver ($28 per ounce) and deuterium (not commercially produced) before you even start the machine and it won't be free in the future because you will still have to buy the fuel to drive the machine.
AND, in the end after you have paid all this money to get started, every barista, cab driver and hair dresser will be able to make the machine for less than you did. Sounds like a solid business plan to me. AND it seemingly comes with your guarantee that fuel costs will FALL not RISE, that the inventors will refuse to be further paid for their work and that every person who can buy a screwdriver will be able to build a machine that these researchers have not been able to make in the last 31 years of research spending at least $50 maybe $100 million. The one good piece of news is that there won't be expensive patent and trademark costs to be paid since the US Patent and Trademark Office has refused to accept applications for the last 12 years based on the progress of the research. Don't you see? It completely depends on whether it works. Not that it will work or that it might work. Peer review. Control experiments. Documentation. Reproduction of the work. AND a machine has to generate 5KVa of electricity. Not on paper. Not in a lab. For real. Until it works, it is still alchemy; exactly as the Romans attempted 2000 years ago. Don't hold your breath, not because its not finished, but because after 31 years of research they can't even power a light bulb. Its a good thing that cancer research has a better track record. |

Your info is 23 years old, outdated. They do not use palladium nor silver today for commercial devices, but few grams of nickel for 6 months reaction. Check nickel cost:
----------------------------------------"Pure nickle costs $7.70 per 100 grams, and in bulk it costs $0.76 per 100 grams. For 1 gram, it would be .077 cents a gram, and in bulk it would be .0076 cents per gram." The reaction was hard to understand in the beginning and they started with palladium but now there are signs you can make it with ANY kind of metal. This reaction might get more effective over time by using novel approaches like sound waves or any other smart stimulant that might be used to enhance this reaction. Machines are to be made with very cheap material as they do not require lot of electronics or special materials. Also, they have few or no moving parts and their design is stupid easy, so not expensive to make. Patent will cover some 1st generation reactors, but not the new ones that normal but skilful people will develop later. Once this technology will go mainstream, millions of averaged skilled people will develop it and help neighbours with this, with no middle man interference from Government or Central Grid. Have some faith in human ingenuity. P.S. It does not depend whether it works or not. NASA, MITSUBISHI, SPAWAR + tens of scientists already say: IT WORKS! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 8 times, last edit by damir1978 at Jun 4, 2012 10:59:18 PM] |

Let me know when someone (Anyone?) is ready to ship me my free machine loaded with cheap nickel that produces 5KVa of energy for my house which can be located in the baby's room. Until then, any time spent by the public on this subject is a supreme waste of time.
In the face of this avalanche of alchemic quackery, those few logical people left can take heart by trying to read this critical review (remember it is written by a theoretical physicist): http://scienceblogs.com/startswithabang/2011/...uclear-physics-of-why-we/ and a summary of the author's credentials: Ethan Siegel is currently an astrophysicist, having worked at a number of places, including the Universities of Arizona, Wisconsin, and Florida, researching theoretical cosmology. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Florida in 2006. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics at Lewis & Clark College of Arts and Sciences in Portland, Oregon and the credentials of Rossi, the certified Nuclear Physicist who started the avalancheYou can view my papers at NASA's ADS database, the arXiv.org preprint database, or Spires' HEP database. Other areas I'm currently researching are Inflation, Primordial Magnetic Fields, Active Galactic Nuclei, and Cosmological Perturbation Theory Rossi claims a second "Laurea" title in "Ingegneria Chimica" (chemical engineering) at Kensington University in California, a known diploma mill which was shut down by court order in 2003. It's too bad we cannot get the OP to sit silently and wait for the proof. Free Speech must prevail; for all.Rossi has previously been convicted of illegal trafficking of waste materials and was arrested for gold smuggling and money laundering. (Wikipedia) |

Let me know when someone (Anyone?) is ready to ship me my free machine loaded with cheap nickel that produces 5KVa of energy for my house ... That is exactly what I am doing here, I let you know about the progress to the goal stated by you above. Even if you are only interested in the big announcement for this, you are advised to check regularly this thread. One day, maybe sooner than later, it will be there for you. Until then, we get the updates on DEVELOPMENTS to this amazing energy related goal. And the most important updates will find their way into this thread. P.S. Being skeptic is always very easy, just say No until someone hits you with the proof in your head, in one word is being accustomed with comfort. Being open minded is hard, takes research, thinking outside the box, trying to get inside the theory and facts, in one word: takes effort. Both "visions" have advantages and disadvantages, but the worst effect on skeptics is that they start to become more pessimistic then they should be, especially with others. They project pessimism, while open minded people project optimism. I prefer optimism, if is not too hurtful for you. ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 3 times, last edit by damir1978 at Jun 5, 2012 6:02:11 PM] |

Through an optimist's eye, avenues and possibilities expand.
Through a pessimist's eye, the few that are possible collapses. ; |

That is exactly what I am doing here, I let you know about the progress to the goal stated by you above No, No, Nooooooooooooooo. I don't want the intermittent flow of effluent predicting that one day really soon now there will be a day when we can consider the possibility of evaluating a machine the is forecast to work some day this year or next. The progress is quite irrelevant to the public. I don't care if they upgraded from #28 wire to #26 today or any day. I really don't care and if I did start to care, that still won't speed up the project. But you show me a turkey in the oven and I am forever in your debt. You just let me know when I can get my free machine. Sorry was that free or cheap? You never did actually clear that up. Nevertheless, you send send me a price list (and the parts list in case I have to repair it) and I will just jump right on board even if it turns out to be a really cheap machine. Just as soon as we know that it works and isn't just a cat box with a lid. If it doesn't work then that might delay the delivery date again. Science can be a hard master. But remember, it has to reach that 5KVa output or its really no good to me. Customers can be so demanding. But I am all about this project, just don't bore me with the details. I can search the Internet just a soon as I stop having a life. But you stay right on top of every insignificant detail. Remember to provide some insight into the reports and your own personal analysis and recommendations. It really is not right if all you do is provide links to other reports. We really need to have you weigh in on the subject and tell us how you feel about the research, its progress and how this invention is going to forever alter the world as you know it. That is the kind of investigative journalism we crave here at WCG. |

1.You seem to be under the impression that I am bound to some journalism ethics of some kind. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I am not a journalist (I don't get pay or anything of a sort).
----------------------------------------2.The amount of rigor that you are asking on this subject, if it is to be asked on all the links that are used in the WCG forum, then only opinions will remain here (no links will pass that standard), especially the science posts. 3.If I will be asking you for money, then You will be in your rights to ask for "a price list (and the parts list in case I have to repair it)". Since I am not, you have no rights to ask for that. I mean you have the right to ask (based on free speech) but I also have the right not to give you anything (based on the same principle). 4. WCG has scientific projects that (at this stage) are not proven by anything (only 2- projects got some results that can be called at best promising) and we can call them all a shot in the dark far more than you can call Cold Fusion (LENR) that. And they are actually asking you for money (your computer electricity bill and computer parts). Cold Fusion scientists are asking nothing from you now. 5. Last but not least, lets not forget what WCG and Cold Fusion are: Science research projects! And to quote Einstein: "If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?" "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed." Thank you for proving so clearly what Einstein is trying to say here. P.S. By your standards, Einstein will be a crazy old fool for more than half of his life and he proved himself only when he build the Bomb (something useful in your view?). By the same standard, you will not give him any money for his 50 years research, before him splitting the atom. Great vision you have there. I hope you are not part of ANY decision board regarding research. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 8 times, last edit by damir1978 at Jun 7, 2012 12:12:43 AM] |

New developments on COLD FUSION (LENR):
----------------------------------------1. National Instruments to Feature LENR Presentation by Akito Takahashi at NIWeek 2012 (got to page and find LENR): https://secure.niweek.com/2012/scheduler/catalog/catalog.jsp?sy=16509 2. July 2nd LENR workshop at Palazzo Montecitorio seat of the Italian Chamber of Deputies: http://www.mail-archive.com/vortex-l@eskimo.com/msg66976.html PDF with the Italian press release of this important event showing participation of Italian deputies and National Instrument company. Also at the end of the PDF a NIIIICEEEE PHOTO of ANDREA ROSSI and his 1MW COLD FUSION Commercial Plant, that is currently shipping to another European customer (some say is Siemens due to their new collaboration with Andrea Rossi on steam turbines). http://www.22passi.it/downloads/Comunicato_Convegno_LENR_Camera_Deputati.pdf Event Poster: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EpCqFCbPLwo/T-yUZos...RXZyw/s1600/PosterA3.jpeg 3. ICCF-17 - International Conference on Cold Fusion in August will have very interesting attendees: Brillouin, George Miley, Francesco Piantelli (NickEnergy) Prof HagelStein (MIT) and DEFKALION!!! http://www.iccf17.org/program.php Defkalion interview showing they are preparing something big for ICCF-17 in August: http://egooutpeters.blogspot.ro/2012/06/inter...defkalion-i-business.html So big events, important events that will contribute to changing these depressing oil times in happy cold fusion times. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 7 times, last edit by damir1978 at Jun 29, 2012 9:38:39 PM] |

"National Instruments is moving quickly to make a presence in the emerging field of LENR technology — and while they are cautious about making a definitive assessment of the reality of cold fusion, they obviously see a tremendous commercial opportunity here, and they do not seem shy about announcing that they are ready and willing to work with this fledgling industry. As LENR projects expand there is going to be a need for the kinds of hardware and software systems that a company like NI provides, and it will be heartening for researchers and companies to know that there is an experienced and serious company who they can work with for their instrumentation needs."
----------------------------------------In addition to this, a new video of Dr. Rob Duncan of the University of Missouri has just been released on the National Instruments community web site. Duncan’s lecture is entitled “The Mystery of Cold Fusion” http://www.e-catworld.com/2012/07/national-in...-with-many-lenr-projects/ also here: http://coldfusionnow.org/robert-duncan-discus...-for-nuclear-renaissance/ The conclusion of this link is that more and more established scientific institutions are coming out of the closet with Cold Fusion. That indicates that very soon we will know more about LENR from the "mainstream science" and as such, OIL will never recover to high prices in the short future. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 7 times, last edit by damir1978 at Jul 3, 2012 3:05:05 AM] |

The disinformation continue. a few posts back you posted a rebuttal
Your info is 23 years old, outdated. They do not use palladium nor silver today for commercial devices, but few grams of nickel for 6 months reaction. so after disrespecting my criticism, you go and post a link to a new piece of work that statesSince 1926 there have been over 200 observations of intense heat release in palladium when it is loaded well beyond its equilibrium limit with deuterium So I guess you were incorrect in stating that the very expensive palladium ($600+/ounce) is no longer used in this research. That will throw a wrinkle into the economics and test the viability of the product. Plus Rossi's reluctance to apply for UL certification, which will prevent any sales into the largest electrical market in the world, presuming that Rossi has anything to certify, which might also explain his reluctance. So here we are, with the words piling up and nothing to test. More companies posting press releases complete with empty promises, obfuscation and disinformation. The year 2012 is now half over. Will total fiction ever become fact? It will depend on whether Rossi (a convicted felon) can deliver on his theory. |
