Well, I don't know what's going wrong, although I've just received quite a few OET WU's - and that's despite having MCM1 selected... Perhaps it's my turn to get a "mini-shower"

It's frustrating to get an announcement of a new project, only to find out there are very few WU's available. Most project launches are 'silent', to allow slow initial phase in case there are any problems, and then when everything is working properly make the Big Announcement.

It's frustrating to get an announcement of a new project, only to find out there are very few WU's available. No frustration, no negative emotions, please! OET is a new WCG subproject and it is possible - OET is not able yet to ensure a continuous flow of tasks. As I see, You support all active WCG researches, so WTP (what the problem)...   |

That's OK: once they start flowing, there will be a flood of WUs - plenty for everyone!

It could be a good idea to put something in the News so that new people that come to wcg because of announce are aware of the constraints of the project... without having to get thru forum.

I got 4 OET1 on 3 Dec but nothing since. All were returned in under 10 hours and 2 have been validated. The other 2 haven't been done by the other party yet but they have 3 days left.
Since then I have had nothing. I also have UGM1 checked for which I have only had a trickle and CEP2 which floods in. My 5 year badge for CEP2 is due by the end of the month so was thinking of stopping that to let the others catch up but there don't seem to be enough to go round. Mike |

If you've set CEP2 to limitless, then these come by definition through second highest priority out the feeder, only after BETA which is highest, if available. Why? Because those that have set a limit on CEP2 get these so they always have some in the queue, then with a little tweaking and app_config you can have superior control on how many there will be running concurrently, without actually swamping out other sciences.

Thanks SekeRob for the good clue that there are 4 six hour batches per day. I've only tried three starting at 1:30, 13:30 and 20:30 UTC. They have lasted up to half an hour.
