Re: BOINC running incredibly slow on my S7

See cc_config.xml being read at 182129 and 1 log cycle, but need to see all over period of several minutes, while left alone. Fear that the Android client is not providing the same log detail, log flag choice is very Ltd

Re: BOINC running incredibly slow on my S7

I have an S8 which runs 8 processors. I have 2 S7's, but the option for processors only goes up to four. I think I'll try a Boinc update, but can anyone suggest another approach?

Re: BOINC running incredibly slow on my S7

OK, so I just tried a re-install of the client on my phone. As much as I hate to waste tasks, I thought what harm can it do. Seems it's now running as its supposed to be. Phone warms up, tasks crunch out at speed. I will be keeping an eye on it closely tho in case it does what it did before but I dont see how I should have to keep doing it every few days tho.

Re: BOINC running incredibly slow on my S7

If it does mess up again, like my S8's did when I had the same problem, a reboot may help this time. How were you able to get your S7 to run all 8 processors? I only have the option for four at max. I'm trying your solution in about an hour when my tasks have all completed. My current BOINC version is 7.4.58. Did you ever have my problem?

Re: BOINC running incredibly slow on my S7

In the box that states how many cores, the slider goes up to 8 (see pic) but this time I am keeping it at 4 just in case. I am using BOINC 7.4.53 straight from google play. It's always given me the option for 8 cores so can't say I had that problem. Image here http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c104/badani...nshot_20170927-141837.png

Re: BOINC running incredibly slow on my S7

Try to shut down any power saving mode and reduce min. battery level to 30% if ever plugged.

Re: BOINC running incredibly slow on my S7

Seems to have done it again. Phone has gone stone cold, tasks going slower than they should. CPU-Z never reported temps above 35 degrees so it isn't overheating. Decided to just give up on the S7 idea - it just doesn't want to work.
