I just got my first WU for HSTB in almost two years of being part of WCG! I have no idea how I haven't received WUs until now. Bewildering. Would have been great to have helped some before now.

Nowadays, in average, there is about 1 HSTB workunit distributed every 1000 workunits. That's already a very low probability to get one.
----------------------------------------But this is an average. Practically they are loaded on the server once or twice a day, and there are so many members trying hard to get some that they are "sold out" within minutes after being loaded. Trying hard means using specific profiling techniques to maximize the probability to request some (and nothing else) at the right (unpredictable) times. If you have selected one or more of the active projects together with HSTB your probability to get one HSTB is close to null. So, indeed, you have been very lucky to get one!  |

For 7 days now we have been getting WUs daily in the 1K range, although I have not seen an impact to getting WUs, my queue is still OK. Seems I spoke too soon  , I started to get less and less and finally today I processed my last HST WU and have not received any new ones (using the same method that I have always used). The amount of WUs being made available is now in the lower 1K. Hopefully it will increase or I can figure out another way to get my queue replenished again. The amount of WUs being made available is now in the lower 1K Well, the amount of available HST WUs apparently seems to be slowly declining. We have had 2 days (Sunday & yesterday) that the amount of returned WU was sub-1K. Anything we should know about ? What is this WU waiting on? I have 9 linux systems with both Intel and AMD processors. When I set my profiles to HSTB only and try to get these, it says committed to other platforms. This one looks like it has been waiting for about 4 days. I have about 8 WUs in pending validation with WUs waiting to be sent like this one

So, with less than 22 HOURS remaining until I get the 10 year diamond badge, there are no work units being sent. Argh! I was getting some in July here and there, but August seems totally dead, in spite of setting the queue to several days and only having a short queue of other projects to keep the computers busy with the project set to HSTB only.

I have identified 8 WUs in "waiting to be sent" status and they have been that way for about 7 days. Something has them hung up on the server. There may be others that I can't see. HAve posted about it in the forums and also sent a not to support at the Contact Us address.

Eventually after we get a month of zero completions, the group will figure out that they don't get any back until the jobs are sent out.
