I got a nice boost to totals as all of my ARPs have now validated. I'm not getting any new WUs though.

Al,
When I consulted my spreadsheet for ARP1-workunits I noticed that some workunits hadn't been running since 2022; that's why I was hoping that these would finally appear in the counts for the state.txt file, although I didn't dare predicting it. When I saw the updated figures last night there was indeed improvement! Examples from the workunits that were released on 18-05-2023: ARP1_0033553_111_2, last reported by you ![]() ARP1_0034388_105_2, last reported by me ![]() ARP1_0034706_109_2, last reported by me ![]() Also, I want to mention these two items from 2022 where one generation in between hasn't been reported, so one intermediate date is unknown: ARP1_0034173_098, reported by MJH333 (Mark) on 15-02-2022, now in generation 100; ARP1_0034248_106, also reported by MJH333 one day earlier on 14-02-2022, now in generation 108. Again this proves how valuable reporting tasks from workunits (with their workunit-ID or URL) in the Extreme category is, here on the forum. Please do have a nice cup of English tea! ![]() Adri |

Adri
Your examples bear out my hypothesis that their category might get assigned as they are returned (or maybe validated) and does not get changed even if not regenerated for another year or whenever. Mike |

Sunday Report
----------------------------------------A huge 26,308 units have been validated this week. That is 74% of the total. Assuming that a full generation 182 will be the last, there are 1,600,014 units still outstanding. Based on the last 5 weeks, my forecast end date is now in 2026, but, based on this last week, it would be in 2024. All definitions have moved up a generation. With increased movement there are now 295 Extremes and 119 Accelerated units listed. The numbers in their generations are now 3,748 & 2533 due to the definition changes. I suspect that the stuck units have not been registered for some time. Some had not moved for a year. With increased turnover, that should change. Mike, thank you for your Sunday Report. There's one observation:
With increased movement there are now 119 Extremes and 295 Accelerated units listed. Are you sure?

Mike, Adri;
Isn't the apparent MySQL default sort order (ascending on first column of result!) a pain here :-) I use MySQL for some of my home database work (SQLite3 for the rest) and I sometimes need an ORDER BY clause to stop that behaviour; it probably wouldn't have cost much (if any) run time for Kevin (or whoever) to organize the state and completed queries so that an "order by max_generation" could be applied to sort Extreme to the front. Ah, well, we just need to read with care (and yes, I've not always noticed which item was on top in the state.txt file -- when adding some data integrity checks for my analysis records recently I found a couple of errors caused by such misreads :-) As long as we get the overall picture right... :-) (And thanks for your efforts!) Cheers - Al. |

Are any ARP WUs going out?? I got a resend yesterday, but it is dry again for me. I don't think Krembil know the status of any of the projects, they just assume all is going well, so I thought I'd ask first to see if it is just me.
Thank you Mike for the report. I do love seeing our progress, even if it isn't consistent yet. |
