Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

[...] The SD card is 64Gb (58GB real) when the core memory is only 16GB and 14GB used.

lol thats better than my best Android device :D I'm talking old devices, the oldest runs on 500MB zram and a 2GB SD (bindmounted into /data), since 2016 straight...
But lately it struggles since someone set the min-SDK version to 19 (or at least above 17) for workpackages (Not at all talking about any APKs).

Should have stated flash memory is 16GB. The core memory is 2GB and that's where the problem lies, it's chock-a-block. Not come around to forcing the move to SD of BOINC although I have activated the force mode in the developer environment. First going to observe what happens with some apps I need to update.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

All, It appears that OpenPandemics only support Raspberry Pis running 32 bit OS images. Anyone else seeing this?

the boinc platform code aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu throws an error. Raspberry Pi 4 running Ubuntu 64 OS

when I use Ubuntu 32 bit, platform code arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf works, there is no issue and I am able to get work units.

I would imagine the OpenPandemics can be complied for both ARM types since it is working on Android no issue...thoughts?

I have the same issue, it seems impossible to get work with a 64 bits linux on ARM.

OK, so started moving a number of apps including the web browser and they all kept working, then took the plunge on BOINC. Unloaded, moved, loaded, loaded, loaded but beyond the startup logo it never came, so moved it back to internal memory and it started within seconds. Pity. Since I use the tablet as media station, moved cloudplayer and expanded the cache to several GB and playing happily continued. Not found a way to activate a developer mode o n the phone which has a 32GB Micro SD, else I'd try it on there too.
