Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Looking through BOINStats history, see half a dozen that came through, all having a VM use in the 191-195 MB range and a RAM use of 86-112MB, not really breaking the [memory]bank.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Saw one in action on one of my Macs. Decided to test the checkpointing by rebooting the machine. Below is before and after reboot:

Application
Beta 7.09
Name
BETA_OPN1_TEST005_1195
State
Running
Received
2020 April 24, Friday 17:03:47
Report deadline
2020 April 28, Tuesday 17:03:46
Estimated computation size
33,991 GFLOPs
CPU time
00:52:22
CPU time since checkpoint
00:01:18
Elapsed time
00:55:29
Estimated time remaining
01:21:01
Fraction done
42.002%
Virtual memory size
4.45 GB
Working set size

Directory
slots/17
Process ID
4516
Progress rate
46.440% per hour
Executable
wcgrid_beta28_autodock_7.09_x86_64-apple-darwin

It seems to have checkpointed in between... Maybe that explains the reduced RAM usage after the reboot...

I don't know why virtual memory is so high, but I see the same sorts of numbers for other projects as well. RAM isn't remotely full.

Cheers, michael.

O.K,All of the first batch I picked up on 3 different Androids (5 tasks) were marked invalid. I then picked up 3 further Android units from the second batch, one of which has completed and has been marked as valid.

None of my devices got any of this OpenPandemics WU. Why? I've set accepting Beta Test already.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Is the resume from checkpoint information correct? There is a double line referring to Docking 28. Directly above it says (docking is already completed: 28) I have coloured the extra line red that I believe may be not needed but I'm not sure. Ran on a Windows 10 64-bit desktop AMD 3900 X Runtime 2.56 hours Please see full task log below

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

@Speedy51, I think it's because the Docking starts with Number 0 instead of Number 1.
