That's why my old android phones are cool, not hot anymore because no work available. Mine is warm, it had MCM1 also selected but is now sweating on 3 long running OPN1 betas... 78 percent after 24 hours. The MCM are also long running, often 32 hours, but since it's 24/7 on juice in it's own stand for maximum aircooling, not bothering. |

they really don't update Linux client for years There have been BOINC client updates for Linux within the past month... though how often you see an update will depend on what distro and version of Linux you're running. My machines are running 7.16.6, and got that update on 22 April. I'm not going to dispense advice since I don't know the situation with your machines, but there definitely are updated Linux clients out there if you want to make that happen  ![]() |

... they really don't update Linux client for years, maybe should try to do it manually If you are on Ubuntu, you get the latest BOINC from this repository: https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu/boinc Just follow the instructions for adding the PPA, then search for it in "Ubuntu updates". It should be there. |

I started to use Linux to boost SCC but now I see MCM runs slower there... will crunch that and wait for a new project to test ) |

My existing SCC won but probably because they were older, although the Beta had earlier deadlines.

I got 21 WUs on my main PC! Looks like you got lucky there! Hoping some more will trickle in, but it looks like we're on the verge of OpenPandemics launching now, so I'd be more than happy snagging some work on that too! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
