My stats are missing on the Forums (top of page)!

180 days/2 years/10 years/2 years - my first 4 badges as listed on the forum, I sure can't see any different between them at a glance!!!! sad

Re: Issues with new website

knreed
Please take a look at https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/api/docs/index.html

I think if you look at the stats-api or stats-history-api or other api's you will find what you need and you won't have to parse html any more.

A thought raised by your reply to KerSamson...

I currently have some Python scripts running that use the "old" API to collect data akin to that from stats-api and results-api from the "new" API as exposed via your link above. They still seem to work at present, but I'm left with two questions...

Firstly, will the old interface remain indefinitely? If so, it renders the second question moot, but I would expect it to be retired eventually, so...

Is the new API available for use for non-website access - if so, how does one authenticate?

The Swagger code on the web-page reached via your URL must presumably be doing some "magic" -- cookies. URL modification, whatever -- as the new URLs don't work with the old authentication (and I don't see how they'd know the user name without cookie use), I'm at a loss for now as I can find no further documentation at present...

Thanks in advance - Al.

Re: Issues with new website

I'm not a programmer, so I have no idea how to work with the api files. I just miss the old project list w/ time contributed to each project. I like to check in daily and see how far I have to go before my next milestones. Now it's just a bunch of project icons with no runtime info. So depressing, and very de-motivating. Could we at least get a progress bar along the bottom of the icon showing progress towards the next milestone? And specific info on mouse hover? As a stats junkie, I feel like a huge part of my enjoyment of WCG has been ripped away.

Re: Issues with new website

The new website was created by an IBM design team.

Too bad they weren't WCG users. sad

Re: Issues with new website

Every time a web site is changed to a new design the response to complaints is that it was "from user feedback". Meanwhile no proof of such is ever produced yet the page becomes more and more simplified and so much less than it was before.
If this is what the designers honestly thought the users wanted they [REDACTED FOR PERSONAL INSULTS].
Change to address an issue is good. Change because [REDACTED FOR PERSONAL INSULT] is NEVER good. Put the [REDACTED FOR OBSCENTIY AND PERSONAL INSULT] and give us our site back!

Re: Issues with new website

Badges blah. They cannot easily be distinguished at all.

Is there somewhere it can be seen the exact days/hours per app like before? 10year is about 100k CPU hours for me. Thats a lot of time not really knowing progress for 50k hours from 5years to 10years. Let alone the much bigger badges.

Re: Issues with new website

I have to say, I dont like these new badge colours. When you move to non-logical colours you should clearly nominate the badges.

Other things I noticed (if any devs are reading..)
- no link to forums on new web page (or atleast couldn't find one)
- couldn't find out the amount of contribution in each project, except those badges (so not really sure if I've contributed 5 or 9 years to a project and no idea how many points) E: fixed now

The heatmap is very nice and so is the "my activity over time"

Also, "My contribution" is very nice, but could you add couple of decimals on the percentages?
Same thing with highest streak. It seems that 1 day streak gets you to top 1% so couple of decimals would be nice here.

Looks as if they've restored "My project contribution" some time in the last few hours. It now appears between "My activity over time" and "My team history" on the overview page!

It has been stated that the new web site is still a "work in progress" - I guess this proves the point!

Cheers - Al.

[Edit - and I've just spotted knreed's message announcing this! :-)]
