They have told us the work is real science. The stats are being recorded by outside sites. There is hope that the fixing of the stats issue will include all the work done during this testing period, but no promises, as they are fixing an issue, and that is an unknown.

Good to hear. Iy does not appear that any of my stats on WCG have changed - since February 2022 - despite many WUs completed and validated

Honestly, as there has been no statement in that regard from the folks at Krembil, and going by the fact that this is going on for two months now with no apparent change in sight, I would not hold my breath on that.
Those validated WUs are being purged out of the Results list after three (?) days and as I would guess that any work being done to preserve the individual results beyond that could have been also used to fix that stats problem in the first place, it is at this point not inconceivable that all of those stats are in fact lost.
For me, since they opened up the delivery of WUs beyond what was initially dubt "testing", I probably have lost a year or so on actual runtime for the three (and a half) projects (ARP1, MCM1 and OPN1/OPNG) that I have set to crunch

As for the scientific "value", it was mentioned that this IS being forwarded to the project's scientists, and we have to take their word for it, as usual...
