Some of us treat WCG as an appliance. But others, myself included, like to be kept aware of what is going on behind the scenes as both a learning experience and just pain curious. ! I think you meant plain curious although I think pain curious more aptly describes it. ^_^ |

I don't understand user's lack of work units and all the complaining. Time and time again when I hear news of an outage or issue, only if the WCG system goes completely down do my large # of machines run out of WCG. They have all projects enabled except Africa and 10/10 days queue set on a Gigabit Comcast.
Encourage others to sign up for Rosetta, Sidock and Denis so your computers will stay busy |

Denis has work units on a sporadic basis. However they do have a server status page so you can check if any work units are available.

It's a Russian government project, affiliated with a state-run institution that has been a little less then explicit about its connections to the government. Like not having an RU web address.
Not everyone who works on it is Russian. But now's not the time to donate our resources to help the invaders look charible. |

Usually problems are fixed within 10 days so you wouldn't notice with a 10 day queue. I have tried to maintain 5. Then we are called WU hogs. Cheers I have a 1.5 day queue and am called a WU hog !!!!!!
