Usually problems are fixed within 10 days so you wouldn't notice with a 10 day queue. I have tried to maintain 5. Then we are called WU hogs. Cheers ![]() I have a 1.5 day queue and am called a WU hog !!!!!! Only agitators will call you a WU hog, so if you are troubled by troublemakers, just let them be and ignore them. This WU hog with a 0.7 day queue will soon run out of SCC1-tasks (if this situation will continue). ![]() Adri |

The only work units its possible to hog are iterative anyway. At this point that's only the African Rainfall Project.
As long as one task doesn't rely on the completion of another, your queue doesn't affect the other donors. |

The way that ARP units have been released has encouraged hogging. Crunchers have simply been trying to get enough stock to tide them over until the next batch is released.
By releasing 'big' batches, they have also overloaded the servers. Smaller, more frequent, batches would have solved both problems. As they have only been releasing one iteration at a time hogging has not affected the project. Just the bigger machines at the expense of the smaller machines. Mike |
